Usually, when Hollywood adapts a video game into a movie or television show, it ends up below par. Netflix’s spectacular anime-styled Castlevania series, however, is an exception to that rule. Fans fell in love with the first two seasons, and a third one isn’t too far off.
Netflix recently confirmed that the next chapter in the Castlevania saga will debut on its service starting on March 5. It will also be longer than previous seasons, spanning across ten episodes.
What threats await this time around?
The show will provide “more mystery, murder, mayhem and vampires than ever before” according to the official description.
Castlevania’s latest poster hints further at what might be in store. Even with Dracula’s death at the end of the second season, the deadly Carmilla is still around, posing a dangerous threat. In addition, various side characters also look to return, including Hector and Isaac.

Frederator Studios, alongside Powerhouse Studios, will once again handle the show’s animation. Warren Ellis, who wrote the first season, is also set to return, as he recently confirmed his involvement on Twitter.
If the quality is on par with the first two seasons of the series, then the latest round of Castlevania should be a big hit with fans. At this point, a trailer for the new season has not yet made the rounds. Considering the show’s premiere isn’t too far off, however, one will no doubt debut soon.
While you wait for Castlevania’s newest season to debut, there are a number of games to enjoy. Konami released Castlevania Anniversary Collection last year, spanning across various generations of the series. These include the original NES trilogy, Castlevania Bloodlines for Genesis, Super Castlevania IV for Super Nintendo, and more. It’s available for purchase over on Steam, and you can check out the trailer below.
