This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

Carmageddon: Reincarnation will launch out of Early Access and into full release on 23 April. Probably while reducing a mob of civilians into red paste.

Carmageddon: Reincarnation is, as the name probably implies, Stainless Games’ reincarnation of the Carmageddon franchise. This particular series is technically a series of racing games, insofar as you’re in a vehicle and there is a finish line, but you can usually also win by destroying your competitors or murdering all of the pedestrians on the map.

The full version of Carmageddon: Reincarnation will offer 50 single-player events across six Event Types, eight-player multiplayer, 24 vehicles, over 80 power-ups, nine maps with 36 race routes, and a whole load of challenges and collectibles. It’s been in Early Access for awhile, and you can still purchase the Early Access version (which will net you the first three Carmageddon titles in addition to Carmageddon: Reincarnation).

There’s a lovely sunny happy trailer below, showing what happens when speeding metal meets quivering flesh. Carmageddon: Reincarnation is due out on 23 April.
