LEGO Fortnite takes notes from Minecraft in the sense that when you initially start your world, players will all be gathered together in one spot. However, this isn’t the case for some players, and we’re going to run over if your friends can spawn near you in LEGO Fortnite.
LEGO Fortnite: Can you spawn near your friends?
Most of the time, loading into an open-world sandbox game, players will all have the same spawn point, as the world’s seed sets this point at some random location.
Within LEGO Fortnite, players on social media have been reporting that if their friends join their server after they’ve been playing for quite some time, they’ll spawn on the other side of the map.
We’ve personally had this happen to us, as our friends all spawned around 2000 meters away from our base camp, which was right near our original spawn point.
At the current time of writing, this appears to be a major bug within LEGO Fortnite, and Epic has yet to address this issue.
It is one of the worst bugs we’ve come across in LEGO Fortnite thus far, as it essentially makes the game unplayable for everyone, as there’s little to no chance you can get your friends back to your camp, as they’re completely in the wild away from everything.

We’ll have to wait and see if Epic resolves this issue quickly, as it’s a real bummer for fans who want to get their friends to try LEGO Fortnite, only to load in and see that they can’t even be near their friends.
For instance, all of our friends just decided to go back to playing regular battle royale, as there was no point in them repeatedly dying trying to get to our camp, through the extreme cold and the enemies between us.
We’ll be sure to keep this page updated if we learn more information soon.
