With any new game release comes speculations on which consoles they’re available on. The Steam Deck is especially interesting, as it can play practically every Steam game available, and some other third-party games. But some games unfortunately aren’t great for Steam Deck, or just not Verified yet. So what about Assassin’s Creed Mirage, can you play this game on your Steam Deck? We’ll answer this question below!
Is Assassin’s Creed Mirage Steam Deck compatible?
There’s a positive answer to this question, but it’s not as simple as you may think. Yes, you can play Assassin’s Creed Mirage on the Steam Deck, but not through Steam. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is only available on PC through Ubisoft Connect or the Epic Games Store, which both can still work on your Steam Deck.
Luckily, your Steam Deck can still run games through different applications like the two I just mentioned. You’ll simply need to download Ubisoft Connect or the Epic Games Store through the Desktop mode on your Steam Deck.

But because this isn’t a Steam game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage isn’t 100% Steam Deck compatible or Verified. Normally, Steam games can have one of four ratings, either Verified, Playable, Unsupported, or Unknown. The first two are most likely to work perfectly fine, while the last two may not work great.
So while Assassin’s Creed Mirage may boot up fine on your Steam Deck, there’s no guarantee it’ll work great on your handheld device. But since it’s controller compatible, due to it being available on Xbox and PlayStation, you should be able to mess with the settings and make it work. Just make sure to change the settings to properly work with your Steam Deck for a smooth experience. You can’t expect it to run perfectly, since it’s not through Steam, but it should work alright.
