Baldur’s Gate 3 is finally here. This dungeon and dragons-inspired game features a lengthy campaign for players to enjoy. For maximum immersion, players have a ton of options available to them to customize their characters. With tons of races, faces, and skin tones, you can truly create the character of your fantasy-RPG dreams in Baldur’s Gate 3. However, for the more wishy-washy players, you might be wondering if you can switch up your character’s appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3.

There are 12 different classes and 46 subclasses with 11 different races in Baldur’s Gate 3. As a result, there’s undoubtedly a lot of exploration in terms of cosmetics in Baldur’s Gate 3. There are even cosmetic items that you can use to customize your character’s looks in Baldur’s Gate 3, such as equipping clothes or accessories for your characters, like hats. Unfortunately, aside from dressing up your character in different clothes, you aren’t actually able to change your character’s appearance after creating them in Baldur’s Gate 3.

After creating a character in Baldur’s Gate 3, that’s essentially what you’re left with. You won’t have the chance to permanently change your character’s appearance again after you create it, so you’ll have to be absolutely sure your character’s appearance pleases you. If you are unhappy with your character’s appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll have to create a new character or learn to live with it. There is an item called the Mask of the Shapeshifter, which allows you to shapeshift into other races or genders. However, this is not a permanent change.

Unfortunately, that’s the answer on whether or not you can change your character’s looks in Baldur’s Gate 3. While there’s a chance this might change in the future, currently, you’ll have to make sure you’re pleased with your character’s looks. While you can’t change your character’s appearance, you can still customize your characters and respec their skills.
