Can Cyberpunk 2077 be played offline?

You should probably update at least once...

In the age of modern gaming, always online games are becoming more and more common. This is a bain for anyone who doesn’t have a reliable connection or even wants to play on the go. Issues have plagued these games due to server dropouts, internet outages, and updates. Games like Diablo can’t even be started without a connection. This means that unless you have a stable connection and their weak servers are online, you can’t even play solo. However, with Cyberpunk 2077 being a solo game, with no online capabilities, we have to ask whether can it be played offline.

Why are some games online only?

Many games these days are coming out online only. A lot of this has to do with ensuring that pirated copies are quickly identified and closed down. It is much harder to run a pirated game when there are constant updates that need to be installed to keep it online and playable.

Plenty of games like to keep things constantly updated. Seasonal events, new missions, and timed events all require constant updating to be functional. Although these little events and always updating games are fun, it is also nice to be able to play offline, like with Cyberpunk 2077. Despite being offline, Cyberpunk 2077 has provided an enormous amount of updates and has essentially revamped the entire game.
