The MP7 is one of the underrated weapons to build in Call of Duty: Warzone. Players tend to opt for the more mainstream Mac-10 and MP5, but the MP7 is well worth trying. Even if it doesn’t have the best time to kill available, its upsides help it overcome that flaw.
Of all the submachine guns in Warzone, the MP7 has the longest effective range. If skilled enough, it is possible to consistently down enemies well in excess of 100 meters. Replicating that kind of long range reliability with the other top-tier SMGs just isn’t possible. The MP7 is dominant at long range because it has low recoil and a fantastic set of iron sights.
Warzone MP7 build
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: FFS Recon
- Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
- Ammunition: 60 Round Mags
- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
One of the best characteristics of the MP7 is that it will always handle well regardless of build. It’s possible to put several heavy attachments on it that reduce recoil without ruining its ability to perform as a mobile submachine gun.
Therefore, the best attachment available is the FSS Recon barrel. This is the heaviest barrel available on the MP7 and provides a huge reduction to vertical recoil. It also improves both bullet velocity and effective range, making it easier to down enemies from afar. This attachment slows down movement speed and aim down sights time, but that isn’t a huge deal given how mobile the MP7 is anyway.
To minimize recoil as much as possible, it is also a good choice to use the Merc Foregrip. This reduces vertical recoil and slightly improves hip-fire accuracy. You shouldn’t fire from the hip too often in Warzone, but it is a decent fallback for close-range gunfights.
As the priority for this Warzone MP7 build is maximizing its effective range, the Monolithic Suppressor is worth using. When combining the bullet velocity boost from this and the FSS Recon barrel, the MP7 begins to feel more like an assault rifle. However, it maintains the handling characteristics of an SMG. This versatility makes it a great choice in this battle royale, where adjusting to your situation is essential for victory.
The last essential attachment is the 60 Round Mags. Unsurprisingly, this ammunition attachment provides a larger magazine that helps minimize the frequency of reloads. This is great, as it decreases the likelihood of running out of bullets during vital moments. The slightly smaller 50 Round Mags are acceptable options as well if you want to avoid the hefty movement speed penalty that comes with the 60 Round Mags.
The fifth and final attachment can be tweaked to suit personal preference. The Stippled Grip Tape is a solid option as it improves both aim down sights speed and sprint to fire speed. Alternatively, the Tac Laser offers the best improvement to aim down sights speed of any attachment on the MP7. Finally, some players opt for the No Stock attachment, as it significantly improves mobility. Just be aware that it also gives a notable increase to vertical recoil, which in turn makes this Warzone MP7 build less viable at long range.
