Vanguard Patch Combat Pacing Camo Changes

Call of Duty: Vanguard patch removes Assault filter in Combat Pacing from two playlists

Switching up the pace.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Season Three introduced a new map, the trophy system field upgrade, and more. In Warzone Pacific, Operation Monarch is well underway with King Kong and Godzilla causing chaos on the island. With all the madness, something is bound to snap. Patches have been coming steadily, such as one for magazine tuning and plenty of others for bug fixes. Now, the latest Vanguard patch has made changes to Combat Pacing, specifically with the Assault filter, and fixed weapon camo challenges.

Combat Pacing made its debut in the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta. It was a feature that allowed players to choose the kind of multiplayer experience they desire, among three types. But with the new patch, the Assault filter has been removed from both Quick Play and Featured playlists. According to Sledgehammer, this has been done to improve the diversity of map rotations. Therefore, the minimum and maximum player counts for Tactical and Blitz pacing have been tuned. Tactical will still provide a classic 6v6 experience, while Blitz will still suit players looking for fast-paced combat. Player feedback and analytics will be monitored by the development team, so it is unknown if the combat pacing changes will be permanent.

For players who are still on the camo grind

Apart from the loss of the Assault filter in Combat Pacing, the Vanguard patch has corrected the requirements to complete camo challenges for two weapons. The first is the Nikita AVT assault rifle where elimination, headshot, multikills, and bloodthirsty challenges have been corrected. Similarly, the elimination, multikills, prone kills, and holding breath kills camo requirements for the M1916 have also been addressed.

Next time you hop into multiplayer, you should expect to see more variety in the maps you get to play. As Sledgehammer is rolling out Vanguard patches on a regular basis, make sure to stay tuned for further updates. In addition, visiting the Vanguard Trello Board will allow you to keep an eye on what the developers are working on.
