Vanguard Double Barrel Class

The best Call of Duty: Vanguard Double Barrel Shotgun class

Solid one shot, one kill potential.

The launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard saw a new campaign, multiplayer maps and modes, and a fresh Zombies experience. Most recently, some new content was released in the form of the Secrets of the Pacific limited time event. Since the beginning of the game, before events arrived, shotguns have been dominating in multiplayer. The Double Barrel Shotgun is no different and with the best attachments equipped, you can build a punishing class in Vanguard.

Naturally, a shotgun is best used at close range. Therefore, the Double Barrel Shotgun is well suited to maps such as Shipment, Das Haus, and Hotel Royal, among others. This class will focus on boosting its firepower to create the strongest version of the gun. At the same time, accuracy will be taken into consideration.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Double Barrel shotgun class

  • Muzzle: A5 Smoothbore
  • Barrel: LJ-18 Defender
  • Stock: SA 12R
  • Underbarrel: SMLE Pistol Grip
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Proficiency: Sleight of Hand
  • Magazine: Double Aught
  • Ammo Type: Slug
  • Kit: Fully Loaded
  • Optic: MK.8 Reflector

Firstly, the A5 Smoothbore Muzzle will provide your shotgun with a wider bullet spread. As the weapon thrives at close quarters, this will make hitting enemies at close range a much easier task. Next, the LJ-18 Barrel will see your Double Barrel Shotgun really pack a punch. Using this attachment will increase your damage, hip fire damage, and damage range, making the weapon even more deadly. To improve your accuracy and make the most of the added damage, equip the SA 12R Stock. With better initial accuracy and recoil, you can ensure you hit your first shot when firing. With the shotgun having the potential to take out an enemy with just one bullet, boosting this feature will prove to be useful. Also, the SA 12R will improve your aim down sight speed and recoil recovery.

Additionally, the SMLE Pistol Grip is a viable option for increased sprint to fire speed and hip fire accuracy. Then, the Fabric Grip will further quicken your aim down sight speed, sprint to fire speed, and hip fire recoil recovery. To experience a faster reload time, the Sleight of Hand Proficiency will get the job done.

Bullets that make you take over the lobby

When you navigate to the magazines, you will notice that there are only two options to choose from. This class uses the Double Aught for higher damage range, meaning your shotgun will be even more versatile. Moreover, the Slug Ammo Type will see you gain powerful bullets with high stopping power. By using the Fully Loaded Kit, you will have the maximum starting ammunition too. As a result, you’ll have more than enough of these powerful bullets at your disposal.

To complete your Vanguard Double Barrel class, use the MK.8 Reflector attachment. Although it may feel unnatural to use a sight on a shotgun, you may find it beneficial. The frameless Optic has 1.35x magnification. This will help you hit your shots at short range, while allowing you to take advantage of the added damage range. Currently, the Combat Shotgun seems to be the most popular choice, but the Double Barrel can also perform well.
