Vanguard Whitley Class

How to build the best Call of Duty: Vanguard Whitley class

Do not underestimate the Whitley.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Season Two has arrived and brought a plethora of new content across multiplayer and zombies modes. There’s also new maps, operators, zombies wonder weapons and more. As always, new weapons are available to unlock. You may have already started levelling up the KG M40 assault rifle after reaching Tier 15 of the battle pass. Once you reach Tier 31, you will be able to access the Whitley light machine gun. With the best attachments equipped, you can build a Whitley class that shows off its potential in your next Vanguard match.

The Whitley already wields a respectable amount of accuracy and ammunition to its name. As it thrives at long range, it’s suited to some multiplayer maps more than others. You may find success on maps such as Red Star, Oasis, or even Gondola, the new map introduced in Season Two. This class focuses on making the fire power and accuracy better, so it can compete with other guns in the light machine gun category.

Call of Duty: Vanguard best Whitley class

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: 20” Ragdoll RE2
  • Stock: Gracey EK8
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Magazine: .30-06 45 Round Mags
  • Ammunition Type: Lengthened
  • Proficiency: Hardscope
  • Kit: Fully Loaded
  • Optic: Slate Reflector

Let’s break down each attachment used on this build. Starting off strong, the Recoil Booster muzzle gives your light machine gun an increased fire rate. The 20” Ragdoll RE2 barrel improves the weapon when taking on fights at a distance with added bullet velocity, range, and accuracy.

Next, the Gracey EK8 stock raises the accuracy and provides you with a faster aim down sight speed and aim walking movement speed. To continue polishing the Whitley, use the M1941 Hand Stop, as it also benefits accuracy. Additionally, the Polymer Grip ensures you are accurate, even during sustained fire with a boost to your flinch resistance. Pairing this with the Hardscope proficiency can bump up your accuracy and recoil after aiming down sight for a few seconds.

Spray your way to victory

Moving on to ammunition, the .30-06 45 Round Mags is a viable option for reload quickness without any significant detriments. Other options have too many detriments by reducing your damage, accuracy, or making your movement much heavier. The default version of the gun has 80 rounds, so you may want to use no magazine. The gun will work just as fine. At the same time, the Fully Loaded kit provides you with the maximum starting ammunition. Then, the Lengthened ammunition type increases your bullet velocity by a further 30%, making it dominant at long range.

Finally, complete your Call of Duty: Vanguard Whitley class with the Slate Reflector optic in order to take advantage of the improved accuracy. Using the light machine gun alongside a pistol can prove useful in close-quarters or if you need to reload mid-gunfight. Having the Ratt pistol in your back pocket will leave you certain that you have a reliable secondary weapon on hand.
