Vanguard best Welgun Class

How to make the best Call of Duty: Vanguard Welgun class

Make way for the Welgun.

The Call of Duty: Vanguard mid-season update is here. As a part of the update, Call of Duty is gearing up to release an Attack on Titan bundle to celebrate the anime’s final season. While we wait for that, a new weapon has been added into the mix named the Welgun. Already, the Welgun is showing its dominance on the battlefields of Vanguard and, with the best attachments, you can build a show-stopping class.

The Welgun is a fully automatic submachine gun that is capable of taking out enemies at up to medium-range distances. To unlock the weapon, you have to complete a challenge. This requires you to earn 10 kills with a submachine gun while aiming down sight in a match 15 times. You should get the challenge completed in very little time using submachine guns such as the powerful MP40 or the M1928. If challenges are not your thing, you can always buy the gun as a part of the Reserved Steel bundle. This Welgun build will focus on improving the fire power and accuracy to make the gun as hard hitting as possible.

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: 320mm SA Shrouded
  • Stock: SA 43m Pack
  • Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Magazine: .45 48 Round Mags
  • Ammunition Type: Lengthened
  • Proficiency: Frenzy
  • Kit: Fully Loaded
  • Optic: Slate Reflector

Time to build the class. The first attachment is the Recoil Booster, which will increase the fire rate of your submachine gun. Next, using the 320mm SA Shrouded barrel adds numerous benefits to your weapon. The barrel is highly accurate and controllable with reduced scope sway and gun bob. Also, this attachment has better flinch resistance and a larger one-hit-kill area which will see the gun take a deadly turn. In terms of a stock, the SA 43m Pack is a viable option for a boost to your horizontal recoil control and aim down sight speed. To further improve your accuracy, the Carver Foregrip raises your recoil control and hip fire accuracy for those close-quarter engagements.

Load your gun with the strongest bullets possible

Equipping the .45 48 Round Mags will transform your weapon into a fast-killing machine. The increased bullet velocity, range, bullet penetration and damage combined with the larger one hit kill area provided by the barrel will result in you being able to eliminate an enemy in just a few bullets. Moreover, the Lengthened ammunition type provides even more bullet velocity. In addition, using the Fully Loaded Kit locks in the maximum starting ammunition.

To make up for some lost speed, the Fabric Grip sees you gain more aim down sight speed, sprint to fire speed, and recoil recovery. Then, the Frenzy Proficiency instantly regenerates your health after earning a kill, so you can get back in the action straight away. Using an optic on a submachine gun may feel unnatural. However, the Slate Reflector optic can help you hit your shots and take advantage of the higher fire power.

It will be interesting to see where the Welgun will fit in the Vanguard meta as Season One continues to progress.
