Activision has announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on 10 November 2009.

The announcement came at the GDC when Activision unveiled the first trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to Modern Warfare.

The trailer shows green sound waves floating across the screen, occasionally highlighting an object or people from what seems to be an airport or train station. As the trailer continues, whoever it is you’re following slip into an elevator, and as the doors close, so do the sounds from the outside, leaving only a frantic shuffle of weapons loading and zips zipping.

The only thing we hear, apart from the above, is a cough and one man saying “Remember the Russian.”

As the doors open, shots muffling the sounds of screams and panic can be heard.

Interestingly you can pause the teaser at any time and “analyse” a certain part of the video with an “analyse” pointer.

You can check out the trailer.
