It’s been Steam Greenlit and there’s already been some initial crowd funding but the next phase in the Next Car Game development process is a Kickstarter from Bugbear.

The demolition derby style racer is looking to raise $350,000 before Sunday 1 December and promises a “unique racing experience”. With a large variety of tracks planned for derbies and traditional racing, extensive customisation, and an advanced racing engine. The team are not short if experience when it comes to developing racing games as they were behind the Flat Out series so racing fans may want to dig into their pockets for this.

Should the game be funded, all backers will receive an early access version of the game to help provide feedback for the development team. If you really want to splash out with the cash they’re even offering a trip to meet Santa in Lapland.

Why do they need $350,000? According to Bugbear this will be a AAA racer and they also state they have “big plans” for the title, some of which are outlined on the Kickstarter page. The shots we have seen so far look pretty impressive and their recent video showing the planned car damage gives a great idea of what they are aiming for.

Now we just have to wait and see if there’s enough interest.
