If you’re the type of person that needs some top-tier loot in Borderlands 3, then does Gearbox Software have the event for you. The company announced on the official Borderlands page today that another new mini-event has begun. In it, players have a chance to score some Rare Chest Riches. It’s sure to keep up the momentum now that the Farming Frenzy and Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite events have concluded.
How long do we have to score big with Rare Chests?
The event will take place over the next couple of weeks, concluding on February 13. During that time, players that run across Rare Chests will have a chance to score even rarer loot than before. This includes a better likelihood of coming across a Legendary item each time one is opened.
What’s more, you don’t even need to play to increase your odds. If you’re watching a streamer that opens up a Rare Chest, both of you could get a Legendary item (note: you will need to have the ECHOcast Twitch Expansion activated). You’ll receive the rewards next time you start up Borderlands 3, provided that you linked your account.
For those that aren’t set up with the ECHOcast just yet, Gearbox provided detailed instructions on how to get started. It doesn’t take that long — and it’s free — so it should be a cinch to put together. Once you do, whether you’re playing in the game or watching a streamer run through it, you’ll score big with Rare Chests.
Again, the event concludes on Thursday, February 13 at 8:59 a.m. PT, so head out and get yourself some Legendary items. There’s no shortage of Rare chests, but make sure you have lots of guns to get to them.
