Blood Bowl Developer Stalls On Pricing Details

Blood Bowl fans are still waiting for key information about the ‘Legendary Edition’ of the game that was announced for PC at the start of this month.

Members of the game’s community are concerned that the new edition, which promises to add several more teams and fix a variety of bugs, will cost them full price. As yet, neither the developer Cyanide nor publisher Focus Home Interactive have stepped forward to confirm or deny those fears. An FAQ addressing community questions was first promised on 6 April, but did not materialise.

Writing on the official Blood Bowl forum on 7 April, Focus representative ‘VinceFromFocus’ stated “We want to take care of the answers we make, plus we have to translate every question and answer in all forum languages (i.e. English, French, Spanish and German). We have to wait for our translators before posting on the forum.”

One week later, Blood Bowl players are still waiting. Here at IncGamers we’re not linguistic experts, but we suspect that a translator would not normally need a lot of time to translate basic pricing details and other similar information.

Blood Bowl was originally available as a digital download, costing upwards of £30.00 GBP. Many players feel it would be unfair to make owners of the first game pay full price again for the ‘Legendary Edition.’ There are also unanswered questions about the online compatability between the two versions.

We approached a Focus representative about this issue on 2 April, but as yet have received no reply.
