You may remember last year Blizzard registering the domain projectblackstone.com. Speculation was flying around at the time that it could even be a name for a Diablo III expansion but nobody was quite sure.
The community has been busy checking out the Project Blackstone site and trying to figure out how to actually access the site. The login access code has now been cracked revealing a series of emails between Helek Branamoor and Talen Ayers at the Blackstone research facility. And, in case you were wondering, these are characters from the Starcraft universe.
You can try it yourself by heading to the site and logging in with the password Y7_$0>0k_3<$m
Now that we know what’s inside, we assume this is just a bit of fun leading up to the StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm release next month.
StarCraft fans should note that in the mail exchange it reads…
Previous studies have uncovered some surprising similarities between the zerg larva’s pluripotent cellular structures and our own embryonic stem cells. We are interested in finding a means to both arrest the obligatory asymmetric replication (the astounding healing factor) of the zerg, and adapt it (in some measure) for our Dominion soldiers.
