Blizzard working on multiple Diablo titles – Details soon

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Blizzard has been keeping rather quiet about their new Diablo project which has been in the works for some time. There has been numerous job postings over the past twelve months confirming a return to the world of Sanctuary but there have been no details released so far on what they have been working on.

In the latest community update video, Blizzard has now also confirmed that multiple Diablo projects are in the works. This is likely to include a Diablo 4 but what else could they have been working on? Fans of the franchise will be hoping that they have also taken on the challenge of remastering Diablo 2 which would be outstanding as it’s still hugely popular. However, as Diablo creator David Brevik has pointed out in the past, this would not be easy to achieve.

The good news is that Blizzard will be ready to talk about at least one of these new Diablo projects later this year according to community manager Brandy Camel. With that in mind, keep a very close eye on what’s scheduled for this year’s BlizzCon. Blizzard did also announce the Reaper of Souls expansion at GamesCom a few years ago so perhaps this video is priming us for an update at this year’s GamesCom which is just a couple of weeks away. We shall have to wait and see.
