Mastery camos are highly sought after in most Call of Duty titles. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War zombies introduced its own set of mastery camos. In this mode, you can earn gold, plague diamond, and dark aether by completing camo challenges. After a long wait, Raven Software finally released the camos in Warzone, allowing you to show off your hard work in battle royale matches. However, a bug is removing zombies camo progress for some Black Ops Cold War players.
Recently, a game settings update was deployed into Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Not long after the update, fans were finding issues with zombies camos. A player posted a clip on Reddit which shows the bug in action. As you can see, the clip shows that the player has unlocked dark aether, which means every zombies camo has been earned. Unfortunately, the dark aether camo is appearing as locked and they are unable to equip it to their weapons. Although some of their progress remains, it is definitely frustrating to have to do some of the challenges all over again.
Many players have fallen victim to the Black Ops Cold War zombies camo bug
Fellow Black Ops Cold War zombies players were quick to comment with their experiences. It appears some other unlucky players were hit with the camo bug in previous seasons. In some seasons, this went even further with some players seeing their perks, weapon classes, and field upgrades reset.
At the time of writing, developer Treyarch has not responded to the zombies camo bug in Black Ops Cold War. Hopefully, the developer will address this bug soon, given players have spent hours earning these camos.
