Irrational Games and 2K have announced the release date of Irrational Games sequel Bioshock Infinite. The game will be released worldwide on 16 October.
“After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition,” said Ken Levine, Creative Director of Irrational Games. “BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on it.”
Players will take on the role of Booker DeWitt accompanied by the AI companion Elizabeth who are attempting to escape the sky-city of Columbia in an alternative 1912 America.
The game will be released on PC, 360 and PS3 on 16 October.
