Development of the MotoGP series has returned to Milestone, and the Milan-based team has today announced that it will release MotoGP 13 later in the year. It’s early days for this announcement as it comes without any screenshots and with a ‘teaser’ video that is conspicuously free of gameplay, but for those who have fond memories of MotoGP ’08 it’ll be good to see Milestone back at the helm.
MotoGP 13 will have all the tracks and rides from the 2013 season, and promises a revamped career mode alongside a brand new graphics engine. If you don’t fancy slogging through an entire career, Official MotoGP mode will let you compete in quick races, individual championships and something called an ‘IRTA’ test. Multiplayer will be there too, and is said to “re-create exciting events – inspired by reality.”
“We’re very proud to announce MotoGP 13. After four years, we’ve have the license again in our hands and we’d like to put all the expertise we have developed during this time into the game,” says Milestone marketing director Luisa Bixio.
Here’s the teaser. As mentioned, it doesn’t really show much aside from the game’s existence.
