Bethesda respond to Doom 4 ‘postponement’ rumour

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Publisher dismiss claims as ‘complete bollocks’.
Earlier today IncGamers reported (via Kotaku) on an anonymous source’s claims that Bethesda had postponed id Software’s Doom 4, following technical issues and poor review scores suffered by the recently released Rage.
The source claimed that Rage’s problems had led to “a serious lack of confidence in the project management at id.”
It seems that such claims were little more than rumour mongering. Bethesda’s VP of PR and marketing, Peter Hines, took to Twitter to dismiss the source’s statement as “complete bollocks“.
We have contacted Bethesda for a clarification that’s more official than a single two word Tweet.
[Update: Peter Hines has sent a new Tweet: RE: DOOM 4 rumor, games are done when they are done and no title under development at id has been postponed – indefinitely or otherwise.]
