Leave the peashooter at home.

The mean streets of Detroit and beyond are home to all manner of dangerous guns and other weapons. The question is, which ones are worth using? If you’re curious, let me show you the best weapons in RoboCop: Rogue City, ranked.

Top 5 weapons in RoboCop: Rogue City

Several “power” weapons exist in the game, but since they’re so rare, I won’t include them here. These one-off weapons include the Sniper Rifle. On that note, this list will contain mild spoilers.

5. Micro SMG

You’ll find Micro SMGs all over the place early on, as they are the low-life criminals’ weapon of choice. That said, they have a respectable rate of fire and a quick reload. The rapid fire makes the weapon superb for slow-motion kills after breaches, and it’s far more forgiving than the burst fire of the Auto-9. Until your opponents regularly wear armor, feel free to use the SMG, the decerning gangster’s gun of choice.

Later on, you may find the SMG TEK. This weapon functions similarly to the Micro SMG and is worth picking up for similar reasons.

4. Assault Rifle 47

The Assault Rifle 47 is another early-game weapon but is a workhorse that deals solid damage. The gun is easy to use, has decent sights, and even sports a good reload time.

Some later-game weapons have awkward scopes that become a detriment in close-range combat. You’ll never have that problem with the 47. It’s well worth picking up.

3. OCW Assault Rifle

This futuristic automatic weapon packs a mighty punch, and it’s no surprise that it’s the OCP weapon of choice. The scope is a little clunky for controller users, but there’s no denying the gun’s stopping power and low recoil.

You can find this weapon all over the place later on, and it’s a fitting gun to add to your arsenal. Just beware that although the reload time is decent, it takes longer if you reload while the clip is empty. It’s always tempting to “mag dump” your opponents, but you might not want to do that with the OCW.

2. Heavy Machine Gun

It’s downright scary trying to overcome a mounted gun, so why not instill that fear into your opponents? Once you’ve killed its user, you can detach Machine Guns from their mounts to become a mobile turret.

The Heavy Machine Gun does a ridiculous amount of damage and can hold a tidy 100 rounds. This is enough to punch holes into the strongest foes and delete fleshy targets within a couple of hits. Sure, you can read a small novel during the reload time, but if your target is still standing after 100 rounds, I don’t think we can blame the gun.

1. Auto-9 Pistol

It should come as no surprise to see RoboCop’s signature weapon, the Auto-9, chilling at the top of the list, but it does come with a few caveats. During the early game, the Auto-9 is fine, but you’ll want to swap it out for anything automatic, like the Micro Uzi.

When you have a few decent Motherboards for your Auto-9, it becomes the strongest weapon in the game with the added benefit of infinite bullets. The Auto-9 does it all and even has a quick reload speed to boot. My favorite setup is Explosive Rounds and semi-automatic fire with as much weapon damage as I can mod in. With the right Motherboard, the Auto-9 has no rival.

Why isn’t the KH-21 Assault Rifle on this list?

The KH-21 packs a punch, but it exhausts ammo quickly. The issue is the reload speed is painfully slow. RoboCop likes to take his time, and it’s time you don’t have if a group of enemies are coming to mow you down. By the time you commonly see the KH-21 Assault Rifle, your Auto-9 will likely be catching up in power.
