While playing the Midwinter Blight event in Diablo 4, you’ll probably want to know the best ways to increase your Midwinter Tribute Tiers.
The more Tribute points you earn, the higher your Tiers can get, earning you a few different rewards. If you want to make it to Tier 3 to earn the Midwinter Ward, here’s what to do.
Diablo 4 Midwinter Blight: How to earn Midwinter Tribute Tiers
If you visit the Midwinter Proof exchange in Kyovashad, you’ll notice a tab at the bottom allowing you to see your Tribute Tier progress. You’ll earn two prizes per Tier, leading up to the final prize of the Midwinter Ward. The best ways to increase your Midwinter Tribute Tiers in the Diablo 4 Midwinter Blight event is to earn Midwinter Proofs by farming resources.
Just like the Blood Harvest events, you’ll want to explore the event area (marked purple on your map) and farm for Lost Heirlooms, Blighted Fragments, and Red Cloaked Trophies. We have guides on how to get each of these items, but you’ll essentially be slaying enemies and breaking special objects to farm these items.

Once you have at least 300 of one of them, head to the Midwinter Proof exchange to get Proofs. This is the new currency, and the more you exchange for Proofs, the more Tribute Tier points you’ll earn. As you can see, to get to Tier 2, I need to get 100 points.
Since this event lasts for three weeks, you should have enough time to unlock the six rewards available. But it does sound like a lot of work to grind for all those resources to turn into a small amount of Proofs. You can also spend your Proofs at Gileon’s event shop for plenty of unique Midwinter Blight rewards.
Just treat this like any other event like Helltides or Blood Harvests and take down any enemy in sight. You may even find it easier to farm for these Tribute points while in a party with a friend or two. My guess is that you’ll be earning Blighted Fragments most often, so focus on earning enough of that resource.
Diablo 4 is available on Battle.net, PlayStation, and Xbox.
