Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to increase carry capacity

There are multiple ways you can go about this, but some are better than others. The best ways to increase your carry weight in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is to consume Golden Trove Beetles, distribute your items between pawns, and purchase a Ring of Accrual.

Golden Trove Beetles

Randomly throughout the open world, you can find these large, glowing Golden Trove Beetles. Pick them up and consume them to add 0.15 kg to your maximum carry capacity. This is a permanent buff that can also affect your main pawn, so make sure to grab them whenever you spot one of your travels.

It may be a small increase, but you’ll slowly accumulate more and more as you progress through the game, which makes a big difference. I usually find them on trees or rocks, you can’t miss them.

Ring of Accrual

In the very first town I visited during the main quest, I found a trader named Montgomery who was selling a Ring of Accrual. At this point in the game I was broke, so I couldn’t afford to pay 6500 gold.

But if you do have the money to spend, wearing this ring will slightly increase your maximum carry weight. Once you have the gold, just head back to this trader to purchase it. So far, I haven’t found another trader who sells this ring.

Distribute items between pawns

Your pawns aren’t only useful for helping you in combat. They can help carry heavy items for you so you don’t have to hold everything. I know this sounds like an obvious tip, but if your Arisen is carrying too much and you don’t know what to do, just hand over a bunch of items to your pawns.

Reminder: Remember to regularly give your pawns healing items to use in battle!

Click on an item in your inventory, select “Give,” then choose who to give the item to. Just remember to take back any valuables you want to keep before you send away any hired pawns. You wouldn’t want to lose your items and forget you gave them all to a pawn you just dismissed.

Although these are the best ways to increase carry weight, there are a couple of other methods you should keep in mind. First off, make sure to store items at any inn you come across. Select Organize Storage when speaking to an inn keeper to access this.

This is a shared storage among all inns, and it’s the best place to store things like weapons, armor, and monster parts (for enhancing gear) that you don’t need to hold on to all the time.

Speaking of enhancing gear, enhancing your armor will decrease how heavy the armor is. Your Weight Carried stat will decrease with each enhancement, among other stats as well. Enhancing is a good way to lower the weight of your heavy armor.
