How to efficiently farm Gold and Nitra in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

Gold and Nitra are the currencies that allow you to build up your character between stages so you can face the game’s greatest challenges. Since you need them during each dive, you’ll want to quickly gain the ability to farm Gold and Nitra efficiently. Then, once you have your supply chain sorted, you can worry about aiming at other milestone unlocks.

Start by killing loot bugs. They have it coming, anyway. You need to eliminate enough of them to satisfy a few basic milestones and earn credits that let you upgrade abilities to make subsequent dives easier. There’s no good reason to delay applying the upgrades. In my experience, credits are more common than additional resources tied to each upgrade.

Access the Minimap first. You should be able to do this naturally, provided you last long enough on a single dive. Completing the Collect 50 Gold milestone will do the trick. The minimap, which becomes available permanently, is vital to your long-term plans. You can use it to spot the location of Nitra and Gold veins. I start by clearing as much of the map as I can, only stopping if I happen across a vein. Then, by consulting the minimap, it’s easier to go back through and target promising rubble.

Access the Secondary Objectives feature next. You do this when you complete the Collect 150 Gold milestone. Like the minimap, it unlocks permanently. The feature lets you access additional objectives that pop up during each dive. Complete them to earn even bigger rewards.

By following the above tips early on, you’ll be in better shape to make the most of the available resources on each dive. Developing the right habits right from the start should make your time with the game more pleasant in general.
