Best way to get Wyvern Eggs in Ark Survival Ascended Scorched Earth

I'm sure you'll be a better parent... right?

In Ark Survival Ascended Scorched Earth, you can raise Wyverns from Wyvern Eggs, which sounds cool until you realize you have to grab an egg first, and the Wyverns won’t be too happy about that.

The hardest part about getting Wyvern Eggs in Ark Survival Ascended Scorched Earth are the Wyverns that will come after you when pilfering an Egg. You’ll need the perfect mount and exit strategy to lose them and secure the egg.

Best mount to get Wyvern Eggs in Ark Survival Ascended Scorched Earth

No matter what strategy you end up using to score the Wyvern Egg for your base, you’ll need the right mount to swoop in and evade the Wyverns.

Wyverns are large and powerful creatures, but they’re not the most agile. Instead of using a mount that can withstand and fight the Wyverns, I’d recommend you use a mount that can out-maneuver the beasts and fly away.

For that, I’d recommend you bring a Lymantria into the fray, at least level 100. Their small frame and agility will make you essentially impossible to hit as long as you’re piloting it correctly. You don’t need to do anything special to the Lymantria, just pick one up and bring it along.

How to easily get Wyvern Eggs in Ark Survival Ascended Scorched Earth

The easiest way to grab a Wyvern Egg in Ark Survival Ascended Scorched Earth is by heading to the following coordinates:
Latitude: 72.9
Longitude: 23.1

In that ravine flowing with magma, there will be numerous Wyvern Eggs sitting in nests in the small alcoves in the walls. You can fly freely around enough, as the Wyverns won’t target you until you claim an egg. The reason you’ll want to be at the south is because there is a nice small entrance for you to quickly get in and out, and the Wyvern Eggs are very close by.

With your Lymantria, kick-off and fly over to the closest Wyvern Egg. Land, pick it up, and immediately fly off. A Wyvern will be on its way to you. Lightning Wyverns are incredibly hard to escape, so there is only really one exit strategy to use in that case.

On your way back out, make sure to fly in loose sways and circles. The Wyvern will try to loop over and bite you, but if you remain just out of reach, it will have to arc over again to have another go.

While avoiding the Wyvern, fly out of the ravine, and head to the mountains. If your flying skills are good enough, you should be able to lose it. There are, however, more secure and better exit strategies to escape the Wyvern and secure the egg.

One strategy is placing a Sleeping Bag next to the ravine’s entrance before setting off, and letting the Wyvern kill you when you leave the ravine. You will be able to respawn next to your corpse, and you can freely take the Wyvern Egg and scamper off.

Instead, you could place a beefy tame next to the ravine entrance. The Wyvern should start attacking the creature, and whilst it’s busy, you can make your escape.

With the Wyvern Egg, you can raise your very own terrifying Wyvern, an asset to anyone looking to take on the Manticore.
