Destiny 2 has overhauled the Void Subclasses. With three Aspects and 16 Fragments in the game, there are loads of different ways for you to build your character. Let’s go over the top ten Void Fragments in Destiny 2.
The top ten Void Fragments in Destiny 2
Below are the top ten Void Fragments that you can use in Destiny 2. This information has been pulled from the fragments themselves and community opinions and discussions, making this list a reflection of current opinion.
Note that this list may be subject to change depending on potential tweaks and additions in the future.
Make sure to experiment with a range of Void Fragments, however, to make sure that you find the right ones for you and your play style.
Echo Of Cessation
The Echo of Cessation is a rather situational and complex fragment. When equipped, any finisher’s final blows create a burst of Void damage that causes nearby combatants to become Volatile. Defeating these Volatile targets creates a Void Breach.
Building around this fragment will reward you with an incredible amount of Void Breaches, although it isn’t the most useful thing to dedicate your build to. You’ll probably find another fragment much more worth your style of gameplay. This fragment is useful, but I’m sure you’d find a better one.
Echo Of Provision
The Echo of Provision allows you to get melee energy when you damage targets with grenades. It does cost 10 strength, but it’s a worthy trade-off for the melee energy you’ll be receiving. T
his ability works with damage dealt instead of kills with grenades, allowing you to really abuse it with well-placed throws instead of worrying about having to kill your opponents. It won’t fit every build, but using persistent grenades will allow you to make the most out of this fragment.
Echo Of Expulsion
The Echo of Expulsion makes it so that enemies explode after you kill them with a void ability. It also increases your intellect by 10. This fragment is applicable for any build, as who wouldn’t want extra damage upon your ability kills?
For PvP, it is somewhat limited as it will rely on other players being near enough to each other when you score a void kill. It does do good damage and is super fun, so on those occasions when the enemy team lines up perfectly, you can really turn the tide.

Echo Of Remnants
The Echo of Remnants will increase the duration of your lingering grenade effects (Vortex Grenade, Void Wall, Void Spike, and Axion Bolt). This can get pretty crazy when teaming up with the Nightstalker’s Lockdown passive and the Voidwalker’s Chaos Accelerant Aspect, which essentially makes your lingering grenades into permanent grenades. It also is versatile for any build, so is a great choice paralysis option.
Echo Of Obscurity
The Echo of Obscurity will make you invisible upon the finisher’s final blows, and it grants an additional 10 recovery. This fragment allows any of the Void subclasses to become invisible, something that was previously exclusive to Hunters. Note that this does not affect PvP at all, but is incredibly useful to PvE battles as weaker enemies become your tickets to invisibility. You can abuse this fragment to gain a serious advantage.
Echo Of Undermining
The Echo of Undermining makes it so that your Void grenades weaken targets. It does reduce your discipline by 20, which is a huge debuff and will be hard to recover from. Weakening your targets with your grenades is a great team play, and will noticeably help your allies in tight PvP situations. If you can work around the debuff and be a little careful, then you can really become the greater good for your team. Working this in with other grenade-enhancing abilities will really devastate your enemies, especially if you can hit the same players twice with your grenades.
Echo Of Vigilance
The Echo of Vigilance grants you a temporary Void Overshield when you defeat an enemy with your shields depleted. It does reduce your recovery by 10, however. This grants you a great get-out-of-jail-free card for those tight and perilous situations. You will have to come out on top, but being able to get a Void Overshield when you’re out of shields may be your saving grace in many PvP scenarios. With the right build, you can turn into an unstoppable brute force, making 2v1 skirmishes much easier to handle.

Echo Of Persistence
The Echo of Persistence increases the duration of any Void buffs applied to you. It also reduces mobility by ten. Each Void buff is incredible, so having them last longer will be a desire for any build of any capacity. For PvP and PvE, being invisible for longer or having Void Overshields for longer will give you a serious edge over your opponents, as you’ll essentially have the tie-breaker on your side.
Echo Of Instability
The Echo of Instability grants you Volatile Rounds upon defeating enemies with grenades. It also gives you plus 10 strength. Upon a single grenade kill, your weapons essentially become overpowered for a whole ten seconds, which is enough of a time frame to deal some huge damage to enemies. Fantastic in PvP situations, you can really punish the enemy team as long as you get one grenade kill, which shouldn’t be too difficult.
Echo Of Starvation
The Echo of Starvation will give you Devour upon picking up a Void Breach or an Orb of Power. It should go without saying that Devour is an incredible buff. Not only does it fully restore your HP and shields, but it generates a good amount of grenade energy and extends your Devour timer. If there are loads of orbs nearby, you can essentially become a God. I’m sure you can imagine the carnage you can unleash by being able to replenish to full with a single Void Breach or Orb of Power.
You will be able to careen into enemies as though a wrecking ball and come out cleaner than you went in. The Echo of Starvation simply must be the greatest Void Fragment in Destiny 2.
