It seems like Modern Warfare 3 will be able to run on most PC rigs out there. This is good news for many who are running weaker systems. With games becoming even more taxing on even the beefiest systems, one would assume upgrades would have to be done sooner rather than later nowadays.
Follow along to get the best visual settings in Modern Warfare 3.
Modern Warfare 3: Best visual settings
Since everyone’s PC is a little different, no one will have the same experience, the settings below should work for a wide range of setups.
- Quality Present: Recommended
- Render Resolution: 100
- Dynamic Resolution: Off
- Upscaling and Sharpening: FidelityFX CAS
- FidelityyFX CAS Strength: 65
- Anti-Aliasing Quality: SMAA T2X
- VRAM Scale Target: 80
- Variable Rate Shading: Off
- Video Memory Scale: 90
- Texture Resolution Scale: Low or Medium
- Texture Filter Anisotropic: Normal
- Depth of field: On
- Detail Level: Low or Medium
- Distant Level of Detail: High
- Clutter Draw Distance: Short
These settings can be tweaked a bit to your liking, so consider them a more of a starting point rather than a surefire fix. If you have an Nvidia 3000 series and above video card or AMD’s equivalent, consider upping these settings a bit since your GPU and likely handle it. Thankfully, the recommended specs for Modern Warfare 3 are not that high. So you have a lot of room to play around.

Additionally, I recommend updating your drivers. Updated drivers can ensure fps improvements, higher resolutions, and can deliver an overall boost to PC performance. On top of that, make sure you close any programs that are taking up your CPU memory. The game does eat quite a bit of CPU power, so freeing up even a little could make a world of difference.
