Diablo 4: Best Sorcerer Vampiric Powers
While there are a lot of Sorcerer builds and they tend to vary drastically, the 22 Vampiric Powers are general since they need to be for all classes to use them. That said, I’ll point out which Vampiric Powers are best for specific Sorcerer builds.
There are some great Vampiric Powers that focus on making your attacks hit harder, but the best Sorcerer Vampiric Powers focus on healing and Damage Reduction. Sorcerers have notoriously low health and ways to negate damage, so the Vampiric Powers that focus on that are necessary.
10. Anticipation – All Sorcerer builds
- Pact Requirement: One Divinity
- Your Ultimate Skills gain 20% Cooldown Reduction. Your Ultimate Skills gain 12% increased damage for each nearby enemy affected by your Damage Over Time effects.
Every class, including every Sorcerer build, can benefit from Anticipation. Ulitmate Skills are fun to use and Anticipation makes the cooldown significantly less. Also, Sorcerers have a lot of Damage Over Time Skills which makes Anticipation an even better Vampiric Power for them.
9. Rampart – All Sorcerer builds
- Pact Requirement: One Divinity, one Eternity
- After not moving for 3 seconds, you gain a Barrier for 40% of your Maximum Life for 6 seconds. This effect can occur once every 20 seconds.
Rampart can be a good Vampiric Power for any Sorcerer build. Out of every class, Sorcerers are the ones who stay still the most. If you do, you’ll get a Barrier which can help you lose less Life.
8. Domination – Ice Sorcerer builds
- Pact Requirement: One Ferocity
- You deal 24% increased damage to enemies who are Stunned, Immobilized, Frozen, or Feared. If they’re also Injured and not an Elite, they’re instantly killed.
Domination is a Vampiric Power especially good for all ice Sorcerer builds because you deal increased damage to Frozen enemies. Also, if they aren’t Elite or Injured, they instantly die — and that doesn’t have a cooldown. If you’re playing the best ice Sorcerer build, you need Domination.
7. Ravenous – All Sorcerer builds
- Pact Requirement: Three Ferocity
- Lucky Hit: Up to a 20% chance to increase your Attack Speed by 40% of your Total Movement Speed for 6 seconds.
Attack Speed is an area that is lacking for Sorcerers. With the Ravenous Vampiric Power, you have a chance to increase your Attack Speed. It’s straightforward, but pretty good to have.

6. Bathe in Blood – Fire Sorcerer builds
- Pact Requirement: Three Divinity, three Eternity
- While Channeling a Skill, you form a pool of blood beneath you. While channeling a skill in a pool, your Channeled Skills deal 40% increased damage and you gain 30% Damage Reduction. A pool can only form once every 8 seconds.
Bathe in Blood is a great Vampiric Power for fire Sorcerers and only fire Sorcerers because Incinerate is the only Channeling Skill they have. If you use Incinerate, the increased damage and Damage Reduction is very useful.
5. Flowing Veins – Fire Sorcerer builds
- Pact Requirement: Two Ferocity, two Divinity, two Eternity
- You deal 60% increased Damage Over Time to enemies that are moving or affected by a Vampiric Curse.
Flowing Veins is a particularly strong Vampiric Power, especially if you have a fire Sorcerer build. This Vampiric Power is good for ice and lightning Sorcerer builds too, but fire Sorcerer builds have the most Damage Over Time capabilities.
I’d say Flowing Veins is one of the best Sorcerer Vampiric Powers to increase your damage output. Especially when paired with Metamorphosis which allows you to apply Vampiric Curse often, the 60% bonus to Damage Over Time is huge.
4. Metamorphosis – All Sorcerer builds
- Pact Requirement: Two Ferocity, two Divinity, two Eternity
- When you Evade, you turn into a cloud of bats, becoming Unstoppable for 4 seconds. Enemies along your path take 160% Physical damage and are inflicted with Vampiric Curse.
I recommend Metamorphosis for every class and every build, but it’s especially great for Sorcerers. Sorcerers don’t have a great way to avoid ambushes and unexpected big damage, which is where Metamorphosis comes in. Getting out of jail by becoming an Unstoppable cloud of bats that deals damage to those it passes is insanely good for any Sorcerer build.
3. Moonrise – Arc Lash Sorcerer build
- Pact Requirement: Six Ferocity
- Hitting an enemy with a Basic Skill grants you 4% Attack Speed for 10 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. Upon reaching maximum stacks, you enter a Vampiric Bloodrage, gaining 160% Basic Skill damage and 15% Movement Speed for 10 seconds.
Especially if you are using a lightning Sorcerer build that focuses on Arc Lash, Moonrise is an amazing Vampiric Power for Sorcerers. Increasing Attack Speed to your Basic Skills and getting a 160% Basic Skill damage increase is great on any Sorcerer build, but it’s especially true for Arc Lash builds. The 15% Movement Speed increase is nice, too.
2. Undying – All Sorcerer builds
- Pact Requirement: One Eternity
- Casting Skills heals you for 3% Life. Double this bonus while below 50% Life.
The two Vampiric Powers that are necessary for every Sorcerer to have regardless of build are Undying and Resilience. Undying is a little bit worse than Resilience, but in combination, they are amazing.
While Resilience helps your overall survivability, Undying does the same by giving you an active way to heal. Plus, when you are at less than 50% health, you gain even more healing from your attacks.
1. Resilience – All Sorcerer builds
- Pact Requirement: Two Eternity
- You gain 1% Damage Reduction for each 2% Life you are missing.
Resilience is the best Sorcerer Vampiric Power because it keeps you from losing health better than anything else. For every 2% Life gone, you gain 1% Damage Reduction. So at 50% Life, you have 25% Damage Reduction. This is insanely good and almost a requirement for all Sorcerers.
