Best Towerborne Rockbreaker build guide: Weapons and Armor, skills, Aspects, and more

Smashing.

Rockbreaker is an all-out assault class in Towerborne, and the build should work with that. Defence is not really an option, but that doesn’t mean dodging can’t still be very useful. This build is the one that worked for me and can be put together early game in Towerborne.

Best Rockbreaker build in Towerborne

Working with Rockbreaker’s high damage output, there is one particular build I liked to use. It focuses on the bleed aspect of the gear available and will keep enemies taking damage even while you’re not focusing attacks on them.

Best Rockbreaker Weapon

For my weapon, I choose the gloves with Standing Ovation and Jackhammer. I find these work best with the natural flow of combos of the Rockbreaker style. The huge damaging AoE from both of these attacks complements the large finishers that come with both the heavy and light combo attacks.

For this Rockbreaker build, I chose a weapon that increased the duration of boons and bleed in Towerborne. This assists in the duration of damage taken by enemies once bleed has been inflicted. Once you find a weapon you really love, make sure to upgrade it. The materials are easy to come by, and it will drastically improve your gameplay.

Best Rockbreaker Armor

This is where you can really start to tweak your builds in Towerborne, equipping elemental and status effects and powering your HP and weapons. For this Rockbreaker build, I focused on bleed, HP, and energy regeneration. I feel that Rockbreaker needs a little health regen because although they have great combos and damage, there is little defense.

The names of each item give guidance on what they do. The armor bonuses are the most important thing to pay attention to when putting your build together.

I chose several aspects that assisted the Rockbreaker build in Towerborne to make the most of the afflictions. I also picked one that helps with speed and dodging, turning this quite slow class into one that can be very nimble. Combined with the big damaging combos, Rockbreaker becomes devastating.

  • Aspects
    • Wounding Aspect – Gain Haste after a successful evasion, Bleed Duration+
    • Shattering Aspect of The Ebb – 14% chance to add two stacks of bleed per hit, Break Bar Damage+, Umbra Strength+
    • Venomous Aspect of Bandaging – 14% chance to add two stacks of poison per hit, Poison Damage+, Bleed Resistance+
    • Tormenting Aspect of the Ebb – 14% chance to add two stacks of bleed per hit, Affliction Damage+, Umbra Strength+
  • Umbra
    • Sten – Sten is my go-to for the Rockbreaker build in Towerborne. The AoE special ability is fantastic when paired with the knockback that Rockbreaker can do. I found placing down the damaging orb and smashing enemies into it effective against everything from low-level enemies to boss fights.

Experimentation is Key

The whole point of Towerborne is running through missions and collecting loot. As you progress, the loot will get better and better, providing larger bonuses. This is a bleed and affliction build that I found worked best for Rockbreaker in Towerborne. However, there are many alternatives available, too. If you’re more focused on a poison build, run through the rat boss multiple times to collect his poisoning armor and put the set together for a huge bonus.

If you’re just starting out, and need to get your best Rockbreaker build together quickly, run something like this in Towerborne, and tweak as you like.
