Top Tricks for Moonlight Treasures in Monopoly GO

In Moonlight Treasures in Monopoly GO, how you use the Pickaxes awarded to you will determine how well you do in the event. As you waste more, you’ll have to hunt down more Pickaxes, and you’ll only get so many from the Free Gifts and Quick Wins alone. Hunting for more is tricky, so make sure to follow this advice to try and preserve as many Pickaxes as possible.

Pay attention to the treasures

Before taking your Pickaxe to the dig site, look at the empty collection above it. This will tell you not only how many treasures are in the level, but will also give you an idea of their size. This is important, as it’ll also tell you how many Pickaxes you need minimum to clear that level.

Take a mental note of their dimensions, too, as they can be placed sideways in the dig site. This will be more important when nearing the end, to determine any potential spots for the remaining treasures.

Best way to start a level

Your first Pickaxe will need to be placed in a way that eliminates as many possibilities as possible. Certain levels will make this very difficult, but for the most part, this applies. Considering that the treasures could be anywhere in that dig site, going for the middle will often expose larger pieces. This will show you where other treasures aren’t, which will narrow down where they could be.

And even if no pieces are exposed, then you should have a better idea of where they are now — which will hopefully divide the dig site into more manageable areas.

Going for the sides of corners, if they expose nothing, doesn’t have the same effect of knowing that the treasures must be contorted in certain ways.

Hunting the other treasures

Once your initial couple of middle squares have been dug away, or if your first treasure has been uncovered, you’ve now got to uncover the rest. The best way to do this is to find the tiles that have the most chance of hiding a part of a treasure.

You can do this by discerning where the other pieces can practically fit into the puzzle. Note that these pieces can also be hidden sideways!

Out of these tile hot spots, find the ones that, if revealed to expose nothing, will eliminate the most tiles as not having any or many potential treasures beneath them. Knowing where the treasures aren’t is just as useful as knowing where they are.

Once you’ve found the perfect tiles, dig away!

Despite all the strategies you can employ, ultimately, it is a guessing game. These strategies will hopefully minimize the risk you face when playing Moonlight Treasures.
