You can find random Stowaways throughout the underwater world that can buff you when you’re wearing a shell. Since you can also hire Stowaways in Another Crab’s Treasure, which are the best ones? We’ll outline the Stowaways you should hire first according to their cost and effectiveness.
Another Crab’s Treasure: Best hireable Stowaways
Once you make it to New Carcinia after defeating Magista, you’ll be able to hire Stowaways from Bottomfeeders to add to your collection. They’re also dismissable if you only want them temporarily. Overall, the best Stowaways you should hire in Another Crab’s Treasure are the Lug Nut, Used Bandage, Fruit Sticker, Another Crab, and Whelk+.
Stowaway | Ability | Cost |
---|---|---|
Lug Nut | +33% ATK, but reduced attack speed. | 3,000 |
Used Bandage | +15% Healing Effectiveness. | 5,000 |
Fruit Sticker | Increases microplastic rewards. | 7,500 |
Another Crab | Revives you once upon death, at the cost of this Stowaway. | 3,000 |
Whelk+ | +30% Shell Spell damage. | 2,000 |
The Lug Nut is good for you if you don’t mind slower hits and would rather sacrifice speed for damage. The Razor Blade above it on the list does the opposite, so if more speed than damage is better for you go for that one. I also like the Used Bandage since it helps you gain more health with every Heartkelp you consume.
Despite it being extremely expensive, the Fruit Sticker will aid you in obtaining microplastics once equipped. This is good for farming microplastics if you’re running low. There’s also Another Crab which is a one-use Stowaway but will revive you if you die. For only 3,000 microplastics that’s a pretty good deal.
Finally, the Whelk+ increases your Shell Spell damage by 30% for only 2,000 microplastics. If you want to make your Shell Spells a lot more effective, this is the Stowaway you use.
Hopefully, this helps you decide which Stowaways you should hire first during your playthrough of Another Crab’s Treasure!
