What pairs best with Sorcerer?

Sorcerer is a fun Charisma-based spellcasting class that uses Metamagic to augment their spells. If you want to multiclass with this class, here are the best Sorcerer multiclass builds in Baldur’s Gate 3.

It’s best to choose other Charisma-based classes to multiclass with a Sorcerer since you can make use of your already high CHA modifier. Here are the best multiclass options.

Sorcerer (8)/Warlock (4)

Another Charisma-based spellcasting class is the Warlock class, so this makes for probably the best way to multiclass as a Sorcerer. I’d put eight of your levels into Sorcerer, then four into Warlock. For subclasses, I think the Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer would do great with The Fiend Warlock.

The Fiend gives you extra Fire damage spells like Burning Hands and Scorching Ray, which can deal extra damage as Red (Fire) Draconic Ancestry. It’s best to choose Feats such as War Caster (Advantage on Concentration checks), Lucky (three chances for Advantage per day), or Spell Sniper (Learn Cantrip and can Crit on a 19).

Sorcerer (7)/Bard (5)

Bards also use Charisma for spellcasting, and this multiclass build could make your character both a damage dealer and party support. I would choose College of Lore for the Bard subclass, but a Wild Magic Sorcerer subclass. This chaotic build allows you to debuff enemies, inspire your party members, and even buff yourself with Wild Magic.

Although you can only choose two Feats with this build, besides an Ability Score Improvement, I’d choose either War Caster or Spell Sniper. Bards have a ton of spells requiring Concentration, so I highly recommend War Caster.

Sorcerer (5)/Paladin (7)

If you’ve already read our Sorcadin build guide, you know that this is an underrated multiclass build. Paladin magic is Charisma-based as well, which fits perfectly. This time, you’ll put less levels into Sorcerer and more into Paladin. Also, for subclasses, go for Storm Sorcery and Oath of the Ancients.

This mix will allow you to heal your party, buff them for spell damage Resistance, as well as Fly with Tempestuous Magic to get out of harm’s way. For Feats, I’d go for War Caster or Savage Attacker (Roll damage die twice, take the highest result).
