Enshrouded has a surprisingly robust Skill Tree that features several strong Skills. After reading this article, you’ll know what Skill Tree branch you need to go down and what Skills you need to take in Enshrouded.
What Skills are the best in Enshrouded?
Something cool about Enshrouded is it’s an RPG, meaning you can find different successful playstyles by going down different Skill Tree branches. That said, as you’re leveling up, here are the best Skills every player should take in Enshrouded, in no particular order:
- Mason – The Pickaxe deals 30% more damage against stone objects, including resource veins.
- The Warrior’s Path – When attacking with a melee weapon, all damage is increased by 10%.
- Shiny Plates – Physical armor gains 10% more armor points.
- Heavy Plates – The maximum amount of physical damage your armor can mitigate is increased by 10%.
- Double Jump – Allows jumping a second time while airborne.
- Runner – Sprinting speed increased by 10% and Stamina consumption decreased by 10%.
- Inner Fires – Maximum Shroud Time increased by two minutes, allowing you to explore for longer.
- Dessert Stomach – You gain one additional food slot.
- Airborne – Gliders consume 30% less Stamina.
- Updraft – Pressing the jump button while gliding will give you a small height boost. This skill can be used once per flight. Cost: 120 Mana.
To increase survivability, you need to take Skiny Plates and Heavy Plates. To increase your physical damage, take The Warrior’s Path. Mining is one of the best ways to level up in Enshrouded which is why Mason is a great Skill to have. Runner, Double Jump, Airborne, and Updraft are all essential Skills to get the most out of traversal. Dessert Stomach is great because food benefits are strong in Enshrouded. You’ll spend a lot of time in Shrouds which is why Inner Fires is great for every player to have.
Enshrouded – Chose your path
My synopsis has been that if you are playing solo or want to be the tank amongst your friends, it’s easiest to go down the red paths, if you’re playing with friends and want to play support, go down the blue paths, and all players regardless of playstyle should go down green a little bit, unless they want to go all in and become an assassin.
Every Skill Tree branch has something useful to offer, but since melee combat is the strongest and the thing you’ll do the most solo in Enshrouded, I recommend going down red paths regardless of your playstyle. I’d say blue is the weakest for solo and can be avoided entirely depending on your playstyle. Like red, every playstyle should devote some Skill Points to green because it increases your Stamina which is key in exploration and fighting.
One of the most fun aspects of Enshrouded is it isn’t only an action-adventure RPG. The building aspect is really strong. If you want to get started with building in Enshrouded, check out our guide that features some professional tips.
