One of my favorite elements in the first Spider-Man game was the leveling system. So when I found this mechanic had grown in the sequel, my excitement went through the roof. In Spider-Man 2, there are three skill trees one for both Spider-Men. However, the third tree is shared between them. To get the most out of both heroes, here are the best shared Spiderman skills to level up in Spiderman 2
Spider-Man 2: Best shared Spider-Man combo skills to level up
Each of the following skills requires different amounts of skill points, so you might not be able to afford most of them right away. But when you do, try investing in them. You can be versatile in how you move around and fight in New York.
Best shared skills
- Web Throw: This is a great attack if you’re unable to close the distance and want to keep the combo going. You take a webbed-up enemy and launch them in any direction. You’ll not only continue the combo but also close the gap since you move a little closer to the action. I recommend doing this attack in the air since you can navigate where the bad guy goes better. If you can chain Web Throw with another Web Throw, you might make the combo last for a while.
- Directional Yank: Much like Web Throw in that it’s great for when you’re farther away, but you hurl enemies into objects. It’s a great way to add breathing room when there are a ton of enemies on you at once. You can chain other attacks with it such as throwing an object at the enemy you just pulled. The only issue with this move is that you might need to practice.
- Parry Disarm: Parrying in general is great for making your enemies trip all over the place. When enemies have weapons like guns, they can eat away a large chunk of your health. So to counter that, you can disarm the enemy and do follow-up attacks. Getting this skill is good for two reasons: one is that when an enemy has a weapon, they have a higher chance of disrupting the combo. The second is that they can block your attacks better which will make you lose the combo. Doing Parry Disarm allows you to better take down enemies with weapons while continuing a combo.

- Bounce Up: While in the air you can yank enemies toward and swing them back to the ground. Doing this move when near enemies can help start a combo or keep the momentum of one going. First, when you send an enemy back to his friends, they might go down as well depending on if you attacked them already. Second, you can do this move a number of times, just make sure you’re in the air and that there are enough enemies around to pull up.Â
- Heavy Lifting: The brutes are probably one of the harder common enemies to take down. If you can successfully web them up, use Heavy Lifting to throw them in the air. This skill adds more power to the Directional Yank and makes dealing with the bigger enemies more manageable. Even with this skill, don’t solely focus on the Brute, use this attack only after the larger enemies have taken quite a bit of damage. It can help keep the momentum.Â
