Best Scout weapons in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, ranked

Only the best for Scouts.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor features the beloved Scout class, so we’ve created a list of the best Scout weapons, ranked.

Since Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is very different from the main game, the best Scout weapons are different, and knowing them is essential to staying alive.

What is the best Scout weapon in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor?

The best weapon that Scouts get to use in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is the DRAK-25 Plasma Carbine (oddly enough, that’s my favorite Scout weapon in the main game, too). The DRAK-25 Plasma Carbine is incredibly good because it constantly shoots Plasma shots at enemies. The shots almost always hit and they deal high damage.

Best Scout weapon combinations in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

In Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, you get four weapons. They unlock as you level up, and you can create some great synergies if you pick the best weapon combinations.

In my opinion, Voltaic Stun Sweep and TH-0R Bug Taser work extremely well together because they both deal lightning damage. With that, you can constantly buff both weapons when you get lightning upgrades. Plus, these are two of the best weapons for Scouts for dealing with swarms.

Another great combo is Deepcore GK2, Zhukov NUK17, M1000 Classic, and Jury-Rigged Boomstick. With these four weapons, you’ll go all in on physical damage and cover all your bases for consistent fire, close-range eliminations, and high single-target damage.

How to unlock all Scout weapons in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

To unlock all Scout weapons, you need to reach Scout rank 15. Scout levels are different than Scout ranks, which you unlock by completing Milestones. Some weapons unlock via completing a specific Milestone, too. Here are all the Scout weapons in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor:

  • Deepcore GK2
  • Voltaic Stun Sweeper
  • Cryo Grenade
  • Jury-Rigged Boomstick
  • M1000 Classic
  • Zhukov NUK17
  • TH-0R Bug Taser
  • DRAK-25 Plasma Carbine
  • Nishanka Boltshark X-80

Best Scout weapons, tier list

With nine Scout weapons to choose from in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, it’s important to know which ones are the best. Here are all the Scout weapons ranked in a tier list.

S-tier Scout weapons in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

  • DRAK-25 Plasma Carbine
  • TH-0R Bug Taser
  • Voltaic Stun Sweeper

As mentioned before, the DRAK-25 Plasma Carbine is amazing. It deals a lot of great damage to basically everything around you at all times.

The other two S-tier Scout weapons are the Voltaic Stun Sweeper and TH-0R Bug Taser. These two weapons are incredibly good when used together, but in my experience, they also work great alone. Both do similar things: big chaining attacks that inflict devastating damage to many enemies.

A-tier Scout weapons in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

  • Nishanka Boltshark X-80
  • Deepcore GK2
  • M1000 Classic

The first weapon in A-tier is Nishanka Boltshark X-80. This crossbow is like the M1000 Classic but better. It deals high damage but at a faster rate.

Deepcore GK2 is your classic assault rifle and it’s a study choice. I recommend starting every run as a Scout with the Deepcore GK2 because it’s reliable.

M1000 Classic is at the bottom of A-tier because it is the weapon that deals the highest single-target damage which makes it great for elites and bosses and not much else. In general, I’d say go with Nishanka Boltshark X-80 if you want high single-target damage, but the M1000 Classic is still good.

B-tier Scout weapons in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

  • Cryo Grenade
  • Jury-Rigged Shotgun

I love the Cryo Grenade but I know it’s not that good. While it’s good for taking out groups of enemies, its reload speed is too slow.

Jury-Rigged Shotgun is pretty good too, but there are better AoE weapons. That said, the Jury-Rigged Shotgun isn’t bad if you want to play up close and personal.

C-tier Scout weapons in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

  • Zhukov NUK17

The worst Scout weapon in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is the Zhukov NUK17. This gun sprays bullets directly north, east, south, and west which can almost always miss enemies. If enemies are all around you, this weapon is good, but I prefer a lot of the weapons above to this one.
