Best Razorback Build for Warzone 2 DMZ

Another deadly AR enters the fray.

The Tempus Razorback is an absolute monster Assault Rifle in Warzone 2, DMZ, and MW2. With the right attachments, this weapon caters to multiple playstyles and has a great damage profile regardless of range. On top of that, the Razorback works great when fired from the hip or if you ADS. This assault rifle does it all, so let me show you the best Razorback build for Warzone 2 DMZ.

If you’ve not unlocked the Tempus Razorback yet, it’s available through the free Battle Pass in Sector D9 on the map. Remember to turn Auto Token Allocation off in the bottom right corner of the screen so you can choose your route through the Pass.

In this section, I’ll show you the attachments I recommend, along with my reasoning. If you have access to MW2, the fastest way to level up your guns is the Shipment 24/7 playlist. DMZ, and contracts in WZ2, both yield decent amounts of EXP as a backup.

  • Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
  • Barrel: 18″ Tack-2L
  • Muzzle: Echoless 80
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Magazine: 60 Round Mag

The Cronen Mini Pro is a great ‘no fuss’ optic with sleek housing that won’t interfere with your shooting. This is a personal preference, as most choices won’t negatively impact your weapon performance.

The 18″ Tack-2L is a unique barrel for the Tempus Razorback. This attachment grants buffs to Damage Range, Hipfire Accuracy, Bullet Velocity, and Movement Speed. These stat increases enable an aggressive playstyle but also allow you to engage targets at long range.

The Echoless 80 has been my go-to Muzzle for a while, as it grants increased Damage Range and Bullet Velocity while being suppressed. If you’re happy to play without sound suppression, the Cronen OP44 is a great alternative.

If you’ve seen any of our other builds, you’ll know how highly I rate the FTAC Ripper 56 Underbarrel. Even on the Tempus Razorback, it’s still arguably the ‘best in slot’ attachment and offers a ridiculous buff to our Hip Fire Accuracy.

Finally, the 60-Round Magazine allows us to engage multiple targets without reloading. Big Magazines are very useful, especially in Warzone, where players take more shots to kill. This Magazine is essential, especially when firing from the hip means you’ll miss plenty of shots.

Are there any flex slots on this build?

Absolutely. The Cronen Mini Pro is a great optic, offering a wide, unobstructed sight picture. You can change this to your optic of choice without negatively impacting the weapon’s performance. I’m a fan of the SZ Holotherm for target acquisition. The colored picture through the optic takes a while to get used to, but it’s superb for picking out targets.

I love suppressed weapons in Warzone 2. If you prefer your fights loud and proud, the Cronen OP44 or Sakin Tread-40 Muzzles are solid replacements. Both of these Muzzle Attachments offer significant buffs to vertical and horizontal Recoil Control. This comes at the cost of ADS speed and Aim Stability, but it’s a fair trade-off.

Can I get the Tempus Razorback without grinding the Battle Pass?

At the time of writing, the only way to get the Tempus Razorback is by navigating to the appropriate sector in the Battle Pass. Curiously, there are no alternate unlock routes, and you can’t purchase the weapon as part of a bundle either. I expect the unlock requirements to change when the Battle Pass rolls over. Technically, you can spend CoD points on Tokens to quickly progress through the map, but for many, this isn’t a sensible use of premium currency.
