Best places to fish in Destiny 2: Season of the Deep

Here are the best places to fish in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 now has fishing which means you need to know the best places to fish. Fishing allows you to get Legendary and Exotic fish which you can then turn into Legendary and Exotic gear at the H.E.L.M. Fishing is arguably the easiest way to get good loot in Destiny 2, so here are the best fishing spots to make your grind easier.

Destiny 2 Season of the Deep: Best fishing spots, explained

There are currently three fishing spots in Destiny 2 Season of the Deep. To find them, I recommend reading my all fishing spots guide on Attack of the Fanboy. Once you’re comfortable with finding the fishing spots on EDZ, Nessus, and Savathun’s Throne World, you can focus on finding the best fishing spot.

In Destiny 2, all fishing spots are created equal except for one small advantage. After getting your Fishing Tackle, you’ll find it in your inventory. If you hover over the Fishing Tackle, you’ll see an orange message at the bottom that tells you where the best fishing spot is currently.

So, if you really want to find the best fishing location and have some advantage over other fishing locations, I recommend going to the fishing spot identified on your Fishing Tackle. For example, in the image above, it would be the fishing spot at EDZ.

How to catch an Exotic fish in Destiny 2

Catching an Exotic fish is all up to RNG. However, if you want to increase your chances of catching an Exotic fish (which can be turned in at the H.E.L.M. for Exotic armor and weapons) you’ll want to fish in the spot identified by the Fishing Tackle and fishing with a lot of other people to build up the Focused Fishing meter.

The higher the Focused Fishing meter is, the more likely you are to catch rarer fish. To build the Focused Fishing meter fast, you need to have a lot of people fishing at one spot. This can easily be done if you have a clan of friends, but if you don’t, I recommend launching and re-launching into a Destination until you find a fishing spot with a lot of people around it.
