Best Pals to have Mercy Hit in Palworld

Just like Batman - not dead, although brutally wounded.

One of Palworld‘s biggest problems was your own Pals eliminating the Pals you wanted to capture before you were able to throw a Pal Sphere. Now, with Mercy Hit, you can prevent that from happening every time.

How to get Mercy Hit in Palworld

Mercy Hit is a Passive Skill in Palworld that allows the Pal to never eliminate the Pal it’s attacking. This means that you can bring another Pal as close to death as possible, without killing it, which raises the base capture chance to a minimum.

Mercy Hit is extremely valuable, and like all Passive Skills, you can semi-control the Pal that has it.

Every Pal that spawns in has a chance to spawn with some Passive Skills, one of which may be Mercy Hit. Although this is random, there are a couple of things you can do.

One option is to keep farming for the Pal you want to have Mercy Hit, and hope that you bump into one. You won’t be able to know what Passive Skills a Pal has until you’ve captured it, so you’ll need a lot of Pal Spheres and a lot of patience. This isn’t typically desirable for most players, especially if it’s a powerful Pal they want.

The other option is through breeding. Every single Pal, with a couple of exceptions (Jormuntide and Chikipi) can be bred.

When breeding, there’s a chance for some of the Passive Skills from the parent Pals to be passed down to the child Pal. Through selective breeding and extensive visits to a Pal Breeding calculator, you can breed the Pal you want with Mercy Hit.

Now that you know how to get Mercy Hit in Palworld, let’s go over the best candidates for this Passive Skill.

Best Pals to give Mercy Hit in Palworld

Naturally, the Pal you want to have Mercy Hit should be a capable fighter, as they’ll need to practically defeat the Pal you want. There are all manner of powerful Pals out there, but the strong ones I’d recommend that aren’t ridiculously hard to get are…

  • Anubis
  • Blazamut
  • Shadowbeak
  • Suzaku
  • Warsect
  • Kingpaca
  • Relaxaurus

This list omits the Legendary Pals such as Frostallion or Paladius as once you’ve got those Pals, your Pal-catching days are basically over.

These Pals can be bred easily with Pals that are easy to capture without Mercy Hit, for the most part, so you can form a formidable team of Pals that you can use to take on the Pals you’ll want Mercy Hit for.

With a team of merciful Pals at your command, make sure to have your Capture Chance as high as possible to make the most of it.
