Best Nameless Honor Light Cones in Honkai Star Rail ranked

Choose your 4-Star Light Cone wisely.

Honkai Star Rail’s Nameless Honor battle pass gives everyone a free 4-Star Light Cone of their choosing after reaching level 30, but since you can only pick one of them at a time, many players find themselves paralyzed by choice.

The Nameless Honor Light Cones cannot be obtained anywhere else in Honkai Star Rail, not even from the Forgotten Hall or gacha pulls. As such, you’ll need to plan ahead and choose the best fit for your team, especially if you want to level them up via Superimposition to get the strongest buffs.

There aren’t any wrong answers, but depending on your current Light Cone stash and team roster in Honkai Star Rail, there are definitely better options.

Which Nameless Honor Light Cone Should You Choose?

The best Nameless Honor Light Cone for you depends on your existing character roster and which Light Cones you already have in your possession. Obviously, if you don’t have any good Abundance characters built, then you shouldn’t choose the Abundance Light Cone from Namless Honor. Conversely, if you have the 5-Star signature Light Cone for your only Destruction character, then you don’t need another Destruction Light Cone.

The smartest thing to do is look at your favorite characters and examine their equipped Light Cones. If your strongest units would get a boost from a Nameless Honor Light Cone, then you should pick that one. If you just want me to shut up and tell you which one to choose so you can move on with your life, then select either Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds, Nowhere to Run, or We Will Meet Again.

All Nameless Honor Light Cones Explained

There are seven Light Cones available to choose from in the Treasure of the Starry Seas from Nameless Honor.

  • Warmth Shortens Cold Nights (Abundance)
  • We Will Meet Again (Nihility)
  • This is Me! (Preservation)
  • Return to Darkness (The Hunt)
  • Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds (Harmony)
  • Nowhere to Run (Destruction)
  • Today is Another Peaceful Day (Erudition)

While you should choose the Light Cone that is the best fit for your existing team setups, there are some Nameless Honor Light Cones that just aren’t worth unlocking since there are better options available via gacha pulls or other sources. These are all some of the best 4-Star Light Cones in the game, but there are some really powerful 4-Star and 5-Star alternatives out there that you can get for free.

Warmth Shortens Cold Nights

This Abundance Light Cone increases the wearer’s Max HP by 16% and restores your team’s HP by an amount equal to 2% of their Max HP when the wearer uses their basic attack or skill. This goes great with all healers since they tend to scale off HP. The problem is, you can get basically the same effect from the Shared Feeling Light Cone which is obtainable from other sources. In my opinion, I wouldn’t waste your Nameless Honor Light Cone choice on Warmth Shortens Cold Nights.

We Will Meet Again

This Nihility Light Cone deals 48% bonus damage to an enemy that has been attacked after the wearer uses their basic attack or skill. Basically, it’s an extra attack that does half damage. Since most Nihility characters focus on debuffs and DoTs, this isn’t a great fit. It has its uses, but you’re much better off with Light Cones like Fermata or Good Night and Sleep Well, both of which are easily obtainable via gacha pulls or other sources. This is arguably one of the worst Nameless Honor Light Cones because it’s outclassed by so many other options.

This is Me!

For Preservation characters, this Light Cone increases the wearer’s DEF by 16% and increases the wearer’s damage by 60% of their DEF when they use their Ultimate. Most people wouldn’t recommend building a DPS Preservation character, so this Light Cone is one of the worst offered by the Treasure of the Starry Seas. If you need a DEF-boosting Light Cone then it’s fine in a pinch, but you’re really better off with any other Preservation Light Cone for March 7th, Gepard, Fire MC, or anyone else.

Return to Darkness

This Light Cone is for Hunt characters, increasing the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 12% and giving them a 16% chance to dispel a buff on the target after landing a CRIT Hit. This is highly situational and has its place against certain bosses, but it’s really only useful for the CRIT Rate buff. So many other Light Cones on The Hunt Path provide better buffs to overall damage, though, and some of them also boost CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG. This is one of the weaker options for a Nameless Honor Light Cone.

Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds

For Harmony characters, this Light Cone applies a random buff to all allies at the start of the wearer’s turn. The buffs include a 10% ATK increase, a 12% CRIT DMG increase, and a 6% Energy Regeneration increase. Relying on RNG sucks, but it’s hard to turn down ATK and CRIT DMG buffs. There are great Harmony Light Cones that you can use instead of this one, but if you level it up to S5, the buffs are just too good to ignore. If you don’t know what to pick, just choose this Light Cone for characters like Tingyun.

Nowhere to Run

This is a very straightforward Destruction Light Cone that improves the wearer’s ATK by 24%. It also heals the wearer by 12% of their ATK when defeating an enemy. This is great for characters like Blade and Arlan, and it’s a strong pick overall. It’s one of the better Destruction Light Cones that you can get unless you have some 5-Stars, so this is a solid choice for your Nameless Honor Light Cone.

Today is Another Peaceful Day

Finally, this Erudition Light Cone increases the wearer’s SPD based on their Max Energy. Their damage also increases by 0.20% per point of Energy, up to 160 Energy. This is a very weak option for Erudition characters, especially since it’s outclassed by other 4-Star alternatives like Geniuses’ Repose and even The Seriousness of Breakfast. Avoid this one unless you really need it for your favorite Erudition unit like Jing Yuan.
