Best Holger 556 build in MW3: Attachments, loadout, and perks

Yes, the Holger 556 is a beast.

The Holger 556 has quickly cemented its status as a top-tier Assault Rifle in MW3. The weapon is easy to use and kicks out respectable damage at most ranges. With this in mind, let me show you the best Holger 556 build in MW3: Attachments, loadout, and perks.

The Holger 556 can be used for deceptively long-range engagements and has a slow, controllable rate of fire. If the base weapon has any downsides, it’s Recoil, and our Attachment choices aim to counter that.

  • Muzzle: Shadowstrike Suppressor
  • Underbarrel: XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop
  • Magazine: 40 Round Mag
  • Optic: MK. 3 Reflector
  • Stock: RB Addle Assault Stock

The Shadowstrike is arguably the best Suppressor in the game, as it has no stat penalties. This Muzzle Attachment keeps us off the radar, which is precisely what we want.

Our Underbarrel Attachment grants decent buffs to ADS Speed and Sprint to Fire speed, as well as improvements to Recoil. We take a penalty to Hipfire stats, but you’ll ideally use the sights with the Holger anyway.

The Magazine is a personal preference, but I like the extra bullets. The slow rate of fire means the Holger takes time to munch through ammo, but I still enjoy having ten more shots to play with.

The MK. 3 Reflector Optic is incredible thanks to the wide picture and bright dot reticule. This attachment is an easy choice and is hard to beat on most weapons.

Finally, the RB Addle Assault Stock gives massive buffs to our Recoil Control and makes the Holger 556 a dream to use at longer ranges.

The MW3 Map pool has plenty of locations with long sight lines. This build allows you to punish players peeking while retaining stopping power in mid-range engagements. While you’ll lose at point-blank range to SMGs like the Striker, you’re lethal just about everywhere else.

Best secondary, tactical, lethal, and field upgrade for the Holger 556

  • Secondary: Renneti
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade x2
  • Field Upgrade: Munitions Box

These are mostly personal preferences, but I get a lot of mileage out of the Renneti. I use the Engineer Vest for double stuns, but if you prefer something different, Frags and Semtex are both decent throwables.

Best gloves, boots, gear, and vests for the Holger 556

  • Gloves: Quick Grip Gloves
  • Boots: Covert Sneakers
  • Gear: Bone Conduction Headset
  • Gear: Ghost T/V Camo
  • Vest: Engineer Vest

Your gear and equipment choices should complement your playstyle, but these are great for aggressive, mobile play. The Quick Grip Gloves enable faster weapon swapping, although this isn’t essential with the larger Holger 556 magazine.

The Covert Sneakers and Bone Conduction Headset are a fantastic combo for sound perks. Even if you don’t wear a headset, I still recommend the Covert Sneakers so other players are less likely to hear you moving.

I can’t stand being on the radar, so the Ghost T/V Camo is an easy choice. UAVs are so prevalent in MW3, and the Camo allows you to compete in gunfights without your opponent pre-aiming your position.
