Best Glider Pals in Palworld

This is falling with style.

Gliding is a great way to get around in Palworld and is sometimes more convenient than using a mount. Several Pals have a Gliding ability, but they aren’t created equally. With this in mind, let me show you the best Glider Pals in Palworld.

What do Glider Pals do in Palworld?

If you have a Pal with a Gliding skill, you can use them to glide instead of making a Glider yourself. Interestingly, each Pal glides differently, and some are much better at it than others. Some Pals are so adept at Gliding that they are even better than the craftable ones.

The best Glider Partner Skill Pals in Palworld

Now you know what the Glider skills do, here are my picks for the best Gliding Pals.

Killamari

Gliding with Killamari feels like a straight upgrade over a regular craftable Glider. Killamari’s Fried Squid Partner Skill lets you float and move at the same height for a prolonged period before slowly falling to the ground.

Your Stamina still drops pretty fast, making Killamari’s ability a little less useful, but it’s great if you’re exploring intricate rocky terrain. The best thing about Killamari is you can craft the required Killamari Gloves very early at Level 9. The other Gliding Pals on this list are arguably better, but Killamari will serve you well until you get them.

Galeclaw

Galeclaw is a solid Gathering Pal, and its Gale Rider Partner Skill makes it great for quickly getting around. When you Glide with Galeclaw, you fall much slower than with a regular Glider. If you’re holding a direction when you start Gliding, you’re treated to a sharp burst of speed in that direction.

The speed burst is so significant that you can even use Galeclaw to travel faster across open ground if you’re not using a mount. While it’s a little impractical, you can use a gun while Gliding with Galeclaw, which you can’t do normally.

If you want to snipe your foes from the sky and glide with unrivaled speed, you’ll need the Galeclaw Gloves, which unlock at level 21.

Hangyu

Hangyu is one of the oddest-looking Pals in the game and has the Flying Trapeze Partner Skill. This skill lacks directional control but makes you slowly float up instead of down. Palworld has its fair share of cliffs, mountains, and vertical rock faces, which are cumbersome to navigate. Hangyu makes short work of all these obstacles, and you can move just enough to hug walls as you float up.

I find Flying Trapeze so convenient that I don’t even bother with my flying mount if I’m scaling cliffs anymore. Hangyu is also far smaller than any flying mounts I have, so it collides with obstacles much less.

If you want to take Hangyu for a test flight, you must craft a pair of Hangyu Gloves, which unlock at Technology Level 20.

What happens if I have 2 Glider Pals in my party?

I’d love to see a weird Glider combo as much as anyone, but only one Gliding skill seems to work at a time. If you have 2 Gliding Pals, you’ll use the one further up your party list. If you’re noticing your boxes are filling up with extra Pals, check out our guide that explains everything you can do with them.
