Honkai Star Rail: Best Firefly Light Cone

Best Firefly Build In Honkai Star Rail Light Cone Relics Team Comps Whereabouts Should Dreams Rest

Like most characters in Honkai: Star Rail, Firefly has a signature Light Cone that fits best with her called “Whereabouts Should Dreams Rest“. This is overall the best Light Cone you can get for Firefly, and it has this special ability:

  • Metamorphosis: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 60/70/80/90/100%. When the wearer deals Break DMG to an enemy target, inflicts Routed on the enemy, lasting for 2 turn(s). Targets afflicted with Routed receive 24/28/32/36/40% increased Break DMG from the wearer, and their SPD is lowered by 20%.

With Firefly’s DPS build the most damage comes from her Break DMG and Break Effect, making this a perfect Light Cone. If you don’t have this Light Cone, you can also go for these choices:

Light ConeRarityAbility
On the Fall of an Aeon5-StarMoth To Flames: Whenever the wearer attacks, their ATK is increased by 8/10/12/14/16% in this battle, up to 4 time(s). When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on enemies, the wearer’s DMG increases by 12/15/18/21/24% for 2 turn(s).
Something Irreplaceable5-StarKinship: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 20/25/30/35/40%. When the wearer defeats an enemy or is hit, immediately restores HP equal to 6/7.5/9/10.5/12% of the wearer’s ATK. At the same time, the wearer’s DMG increases by 20/25/30/35/40% until the end of their next turn. This effect cannot stack and can only trigger 1 time per turn.
Nowhere to Run4-StarCrisis: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 20/25/30/35/40%. Whenever the wearer defeats an enemy, they restore HP equal to 12/15/18/21/24% of their ATK.
Indelible Promise4-StarInheritance: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 28/35/42/49/56%. When the wearer uses their Ultimate, increases CRIT Rate by 15/18.75/22.5/26.25/30%, lasting for 2 turn(s).

On the Fall of an Aeon is the second-best Light Cone since it increases Firefly’s ATK and increases her DMG whenever she inflicts Weakness Break. Another decent 5-Star Light Cone is Something Irreplaceable which also increases her ATK and DMG while also restoring her HP after defeating an enemy/getting hit.

If you only have 4-Star Light Cones, go for Nowhere to Run or Indelible Promise. While the former will increase Firefly’s ATK and restore her HP after defeating an enemy, the latter increases her Break Effect and her Crit Rate increases when using her Ultimate.

Best Firefly Relics and Ornaments

You’ll need the proper Relics and Ornaments for Firefly if you want the best build. While there are a few good options there’s one that stands out. The four-piece Iron Cavalry Against the Scourage set is undoubtedly the best Relic set for Firefly for these reasons:

  • 2-piece: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
  • 4-piece: If the wearer’s Break Effect is 150% or higher, ignores 10% of the enemy target’s DEF when dealing Break DMG to them. When the wearer’s Break Effect is 250% or higher, the Super Break DMG they deal to enemy targets additionally ignores 15% of the targets’ DEF.

This Relic set is great against enemies with high DEF since she can ignore 10% of the enemy’s DEF while dealing Break DMG to them. It grants another 15% when her Break Effect is above 250%. You can farm for this Relic set at the Path of Cavalier Cavern of Corrosion in the Penacony Grand Theater. Otherwise, here are a couple of other Relic sets you can try for Firefly:

Relic setEffectsHow to get
Thief of Shooting Meteor (4-piece)2-piece: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
4-piece: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, regenerates 3 Energy.
Path of Jabbing Punch Cavern of Corrosion, Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone, Jarilo-VI.
Firesmith of Lava-Forging (4-piece)2-piece: Increases Fire DMG by 10%.
4-piece: Increases the wearer’s Skill DMG by 12%. After unleashing Ultimate, increases the wearer’s Fire DMG by 12% for the next attack.
Path of Conflagration Cavern of Corrosion, Stargazer Navalia, Xianzhou Luofu.
Thief of Shooting Meteor (2-piece)
Firesmith of Lava-Forging (2-piece)
2-piece: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
2-piece: Increases Fire DMG by 10%.
^

Thief of Shooting Meteor is the second-best Relic set since it focuses on Firefly’s Break Effect ability and can regenerate Energy when inflicting Weakness Break. Otherwise, the Firesmith of Lava-Forging is only recommended if you don’t yet have the two best Relic sets. It can increase Firefly’s Fire and Skill DMG. You can always put a set together with two pieces of both these Relic sets as well for increased Fire DMG and Break Effect.

In the case of Ornaments, your best bet would be with the Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern set since it’ll provide this effect:

  • 2-piece: Increase the wearer’s SPD by 6%. When the wearer hits enemy targets with Fire Weakness, the wearer’s Break Effect increases by 40%, lasting for 1 turn(s).

You’ll want Firefly’s SPD increased so she can break enemy defenses more often during a fight, and this set will also increase her Break Effect when targeting enemies with a weakness to Fire. You can obtain this Ornament set from the Divergent Universe game mode released with Version 2.3. There are only two other Ornament sets good for Firefly:

Ornament setEffectHow to get
Talia: Kingdom of Banditry2-piece: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 145 or higher, the wearer’s Break effect increases by an extra 20%.Simulated Universe World 4
Space Sealing Station2-piece: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer’s ATK increases by an extra 12%.Simulated Universe World 3

Talia: Kingdom of Banditry can be a good optional Ornament set since it increases her Break Effect, and boosts it even more when her SPD is above 145. Space Sealing Station should only be used if you don’t yet have the other Ornament sets, but it’s good for increasing Firefly’s ATK.

Best Firefly team comps in Honkai: Star Rail

Once you get your hands on Firefly, you might wonder what party compositions are best for her. Here are some good options for Firefly as a main DPS:

Free-to-play team comp

  • Main DPS: Firefly
  • Support: Trailblazer (Imaginary)
  • Support: Asta
  • Healer: Natasha/Lynx

Trailblazer (Imaginary) is an excellent support for Firefly since they can increase Break Effect for all allies. They can also deliver an increased Weakness Broken state with synergizes well with Firefly’s kit. Asta can increase Fire DMG for all allies, which is great with Firefly. She can also provide an SPD buff as her Ultimate. For a Healer, try Natasha or Lynx. Both are great at AoE and targeted healing for an F2P team.

Break Effect team comp

  • Main DPS: Firefly
  • Support: Trailblazer (Imaginary)
  • Support: Ruan Mei
  • Healer: Gallagher

For non-F2P players, a great team comp that focuses on Break DMG and Break Effect includes Trailblazer (Imaginary) again since they increase the team’s overall Break Effect. You can also have Ruan Mei as a secondary support since she can boost the team’s DMG and Weakness Break Efficiency with her Skill while dealing Break DMG to enemies when an ally breaks the target’s Weakness. Gallagher is a great choice for a healer since he not only can restore the team’s HP, but his Talent makes targets receive more Break DMG (while also restoring the attacking ally’s HP).

Buffing team comp

  • Main DPS: Firefly
  • Support: Asta
  • Support: Pela
  • Sustain: Huohuo

This team comp focuses on buffs like increased SPD and ATK while not neglecting Break DMG. Having Asta as a support allows her to provide both SPD and ATK buffs for Firefly. There’s also Pela who can reduce enemy DEF to allow Firefly to apply a Break Effect. Finally, Huohuo can heal party members while also buffing Firefly’s ATK and restoring the party’s Energy.

Now that you know about the right Light Cone, Relics, Ornaments, and team comps for the best Firefly builds in Honkai: Star Rail, another popular character you may want to do some research on is Aventurine.
