Those webs will summon nerubians. Don't stand in 'em!

While he may pull everything and yell at you about standing in traps he’s stood in, a good Brann Bronzebeard is essential for completing high-tier Delves. Here’s everything you need to know to turn your Brann from a nuisance to a Delve carrying machine in WoW: The War Within.

Whether you should choose Damage or Healer for Brann depends on your class, how many players you bring along, and the type of Delve you do:

  • Brann is best as a Damage Dealer for group Delves and Zekvir.
  • Make Brann a Healer instead for solo Delves if your class has poor self-sustainability or your Item Level is low.

The best Curio combination for Brann as your Delve Companion is the Arrowhead Idol Combat Curio and Amorphous Relic (or Relic of Sentience if you own it at a higher rank).

Best Brann Bronzebeard build for Zekvir

If you’re brave enough to face Zekvir, use the following build for Brann:

  • Role: Damage Dealer
  • Combat Curio: Porcelain Arrowhead Idol
  • Utility Curio: Amorphous Relic

While Healer may seem like the go-to option for Zekvir, there comes a point in the fight where it’s almost impossible to heal. Big damage is what you want to aim for to take him down and earn your Achievement.

Before choosing a Curio based on Brann’s best-in-slot, remember to check the Ranks of your Curios first. Depending on what you use, a high-rank Curio can outperform a low-rank Curio in some situations.

Porcelain Arrowhead Idol

As far as pure damage numbers are concerned, Porcelain Arrowhead Idol is, arguably, the best Combat Curio for Brann. Its massive increase to Critical Strikes naturally means more damage, especially with classes and specs prioritizing Crit.

Idol of Final Will

Idol of Final Will is a Combat Curio that has the potential to do major damage at high ranks. If you have it at Rank 4 and Porcelain Arrowhead Idol is lower (or you don’t care for Critical damage), then it’s your best option.

Best Utility Curios for Brann in WoW The War Within

Amorphous Relic

Amorphous Relic is the best Utility Curio that gets even better with higher ranks. Entering combat guarantees a buff to maximum health, damage, and healing or to movement speed and haste. No matter which buff you receive, it’s a pure damage/healing increase — like a tiny pocket Bloodlust without the cooldown.

Relic of Sentience

Relic of Sentience is a Utility Curio that changes based on whether Brann is a Healer or Damage Dealer. Depending on his role, it has a chance to throw an additional trap or a potion. With traps being one of Brann’s main damage sources, more traps mean more damage — and more potions mean more healing in those tough solo Delves.

While you’re busy adventuring in Delves with your Companion, don’t forget to form a pact with a Threads of Fate leader to earn Renown rewards. If you happen to be in The Ringing Deeps, there’s also a free 34-slot bag you may have missed.
