How to play Surf in CS2
If you’re new to Surf, it is a unique game mode in Counter-Strike 2 that is only found in custom servers made by the community. This is because the base game of CS2 doesn’t have a Surf mode.
Surf is a game mode where you glide up, over, and on obstacles as you get from one end of a stage to another. It’s called Surf because that’s what it looks like and feels like as you glide on objects.
To join a CS2 Surf server, you need to launch CS2. In the Play menu, you need to click the internet icon which will allow you to search for community servers. It’s here that you can input IPs, server names, and inevitably find a CS2 Surf server.
Where to find the best CS2 Surf servers
Since Counter-Strike 2 is still in its infancy, there aren’t a lot of Surf servers to choose from. That said, some incredibly smart and dedicated players who got access to CS2 in the early tests have already made Surf maps and servers.
The best place to find Surf servers in CS2 is on GFL Clan or on Server Tilt. Both of these websites host lists of the best CS2 Surf servers to join and they will be updated regularly as more come out.
If you’re new to Surf in CS2, I recommend the Surf Timer #1 Beginner server. The IP address is 92.119.148.18:27015. If you are an experienced Surfer, try the Surf Timer 24/7 Utopia server. The IP address for that server is 92.119.148.101:27015. Have fun!
