Fire Emblem Engage Nil

Best class and gifts for Nil in Fire Emblem Engage

Nil-ifying the chances of a bad build.

The Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem Engage has been a relatively fun one to say the least. With each new wave there have been new additions to the game that are relatively meaningful. Most of the additions from the Expansion Pass have been new Emblems to use with units in-battle, but the final wave brought the Fell Xenologue story DLC. This story DLC, while being a sizable amount of new content in its own right, also went about adding new characters for you to use in the main game. One of these characters is Nil, one of the Fell Dragon children from another world. Spoiler alert: you may also know him as Rafal, as that’s his true name which is revealed at the end of the Fell Xenologue DLC. Here are the best class and gifts for Nil in Fire Emblem Engage.

Best class and gifts for Nil in Fire Emblem Engage

The best class for Nil in Fire Emblem Engage is the Fell Child class. Much like his sister, Nel, Nil has a unique version of this class that comes equipped with other proficiencies that you don’t see anywhere else in the game. Nil’s Fell Child class equips him with a proficiency in axes, which is different from the lance proficiency that Nel gets from her unique variant of this class. Nil, also like his sister, can become a dragon using his dragonstones and deal damage that way.

Using the Revanche might be the way to go

The Revanche axe you receive after unlocking the Ancient Well is also the axe that Nil uses throughout the Fell Xenologue DLC in Fire Emblem Engage. This axe is actually a pretty incredible weapon that has a massive Crit stat that rivals the weapons built explicitly for that purpose. For example, the Killer Axe has a 40 Crit stat when fully upgraded, and the Revanche has a 35 Crit stat. This small deficit is offset by the amount of sheer damage it does. The Revanche has a maximum Might of 24, which is two more than the maximum of a Silver Axe. This makes this weapon one of the best axes to use with Nil in Fire Emblem Engage.

Best gifts for Nil in Fire Emblem Engage

The best gifts for Nil in Fire Emblem Engage are gifts that suit them the most. For example, in his Ally Notebook entry, it’s stated he likes yams, which means the Roasted Yam gift is a good gift to give Nil. He also enjoys reading, which means the Elyos History, Fairy-Tale Book, and Poetry Book are good gifts to give. Nil apparently loves being intimidating too, which makes sense as to why he enjoys the Spooky Scroll gift item. Other gifts that Nil likes are the Playing Cards, Lovely Candle, Sun Visor, Large Plate, Fine Quill Pen, Quality Kerchief, and Landscape Art.

Fire Emblem Engage is available from the Nintendo Store.
