Holocure Save the Fans is a superb ‘Bullet Heaven’ with a vast roster of unique characters to try. You’ll have to get lucky with the Gatcha system if you want them all, but persevere, and you’ll have the entire collection in no time. Every character can beat the ‘Stage’ mode with smart choices and powerful Collabs. However, if you’re trying to buy every enhancement and rank up your heroes, you need someone powerful and dependable. Let me show who’s up for the challenge. This is a Tier List of the best characters in Holocure.
Best characters in Holocure – Tier List
I would usually rate every character in the game in a traditional tier list, but I won’t do that here, as Holocure has such an expansive roster. For this list, I’ll rate the best characters for stage clearing and making stacks of Holocoins. I’ll also explain my reasoning. Upgrades get very expensive in Holocure, but every character here has great clearing potential and can survive when the going gets tough.Â
As I’m not ranking the entire cast, every character here is a solid pick. As unlocks can be a little confusing in Holocure, I’ll note what pack each character is in so you can try your luck on the Character Gatcha.
Stage Clearing Tier List
- S- Ookami Mio
- A- Yuzuki Chocco
- B – Yozora Mel
- C – Ceres Fauna
S-Tier
Ookami Mio (Gamers)
Every character on this list has survivability in droves, but Ookami Mio also has skills that are so strong she doesn’t care what weapons you give her. While Mio’s Hatatosaurus Special Attack is active, she takes 30% less damage, and her Omen ensures it’s always ready to go. Cheerful Laugh and Mama deal damage and heal based on enemy proximity, making Mio feel incredibly well-rounded. Ookami Mio is a character who does it all and is so efficient you can almost turn your brain off when you play her.
A-Tier
Yuzuki Choco (JP Gen 2)
Yuzuki Choco has a brilliant kit that deals ridiculous damage while allowing her to stay safe. Choco’s S.Dynamite Body Special Attack reduces the enemy’s ATK/DEF by 30% for 8 seconds, which serves as a decent panic button. Some enemies will also become charmed and help you instead, which is a nice bonus.
Her other skills weaponize healing and synergize well with crit damage. That reliance on critical hits is why Choco narrowly misses the top spot in S-Tier. To truly shine, this character needs crits, but as it’s such a desirable stat anyway, you should go for them whenever possible.
B-Tier
Yozora Mel (JP Gen 1)
Yozora Mel is a fantastically strong character with tons of survivability. Her Kapu Kapu weapon offers Lifesteal and hits a respectable range in front of her. Mels Special Attack, Banpire, is one of the best panic buttons in the game as it deletes any non-boss enemy from existence. Her remaining skills synergize with Life Steal, and ‘Mel Mel Cooking’ offers decent crowd control. The Acerola Ability only works when you eat food, so Mel loses a few places on the list for that, but make no mistake, she’s solid.
C-Tier
Ceres Fauna (Council+Hope)
Ceres Fauna is another superb character with a ton of survivability options. Fauna doesn’t have Lifesteal, which the higher-rated characters have in droves. Instead, Fauna has skills like Whisperer that can negate attacks, and her Saplings heal while boosting ATK and Speed. Finally, the Mother Nature Special Attack grants temporary invincibility for when the going gets tough. What this character lacks in offense, she makes up for in defense, and if you get a couple of decent weapons, she’s unstoppable.
These are my picks for stage-clearing characters, and as you can see, I rate defensive skills very highly. If you’re a skilled player with decent movement, you may perform better with a more offensive pick. I like these characters because if I make a mistake, I can usually recover. If you’re just starting out on Holocure, these characters are great, but I urge you to try everyone out. If you’re wrapping your head around the Stamps mechanic, check out our tier list.
