Lords of the Fallen has a handful of catalysts for each school of magic – Radiance, Infernal, and Umbral. You’ll want to know the best ones to maximize your effectiveness in combat.

There are two ways to measure a catalyst in Lords of the Fallen, through spell power and spell slots. Typically, one is sacrificed for more strength in the other, so it’s up to you which you’d rather have more of.

The Best Radiant Catalysts in Lords of the Fallen

Below are the two best Radiant catalysts in Lords of the Fallen.

Radiant Purifier

The Radiant Purifier is the greatest Radiant Catalyst if you want the most spell power. Boasting 135 spell power, this catalyst actually shares a joint podium with Agony’s Light, although it scales better with a C- in Radiance.

The Radiant Purifier only holds three spell slots, but with the best spell power and a good scaling attribute, you’ll be able to really use your favorite Radiant spells to the best of their ability.

Abess Chalice

The Abess Chalice is the best Radiant Catalyst if you want to have the most spell slots possible. It may only have 94 spell power, but it holds five spell slots, meaning you’ll become much more versatile in battle even if you don’t have the greatest strength.

However, this catalyst has a B- in Radiance, making it scale fantastically off your Radiance stat. So if you’re highly leveled, you’ll have a fantastic spell power rating, anyway.

The Best Infernal Catalyst in Lords of the Fallen

Below are the two best Infernal catalysts in Lords of the Fallen.

Miranda’s Touch

Miranda’s Touch has the greatest spell power, coming in at 135. Ranking the best by a long shot for raw power, Miranda’s Touch does fall slightly when it comes to the attribute scaling. With merely a D+ in Infernal, the raw power of this catalyst will be doing most of the heavy lifting.

This catalyst only has three spell slots, but with that kind of power, you’ll only want to be using your favorite spells. If you’d rather have a more focused Infernal build with only a few spells, this catalyst is for you.

Queen Sophesia’s Catalyst

Queen Sophesia’s Catalyst may only have a spell power rating of 93, but you can equip five spells. If you can’t decide which spells you don’t want to use, or prefer versatility, then you’ll want Queen Sophesia’s Catalyst.

Also, this catalyst boasts a B rating for Infernal, making it scale with your own Infernal stat very well. So the drop in raw spell power can be made up if you’re up for a little grinding.

The Best Umbral Catalyst in Lords of the Fallen

Below are the two best Umbral Catalysts in Lords of the Fallen.

Nohuta Effigy

The Nohuta Effigy isn’t just the most powerful catalyst from the Umbral school, but also of the entire game. With an incredible 142 spell power, it doesn’t matter that it only scales with Radiance and Infernal at a D rating.

If you want strength and power, then you’ll get it here, lampbearer. It does only hold three spells, but that’s all you’ll need as you equip the most powerful Umbral spells. You will be the scourge of your enemies with this equipped.

Sunken Beseecher

The Sunken Beseecher has a C+ rating for Infernal and Radiance, which is needed as its spell power is merely 96. However, this catalyst allows you to hold up to five spells, enabling you to perform a wide range of Umbral Spells.

Ranking with two stats instead of just one like the other catalysts on this list, you’ll be able to provide much more spell strength in half the time. So it doesn’t matter too much that its spell power is meager. Besides, with Umbral magic, you can poison your enemies to increase to your overall damage dealing.
