Best Carrack .300 Loadout in Warzone 2 DMZ

The return of the WA2000

Sniper Rifles have had a rough time in Warzone 2 and DMZ. For the longest time, it seemed like the developers were happy to neglect the weapon class. This issue was remedied by adding a few One Shot Sniper Rifles, and you can check out our build guide if you want to try those. So what if I told you the new Carrack .300 couldn’t kill in One Shot? It’s useless, right? Well, not exactly, and I’ll explain why. Let me show you the best Carrack .300 Loadout in Warzone 2 DMZ.

To start off, let’s address the elephant in the room. The Carrack .300 is a lousy Sniper Rifle, but it fits the role of a punchy DMR much better. If we build to the Carrack .300’s strengths instead of trying to use it like other Sniper Rifles, we have something quite special on our hands. These are the attachments I recommend for the weapon, along with my reasoning:

Carrack .300 Attachments

  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Magazine: 15 Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Engage-20 Grip
  • Stock: Lex V14 Stock
  • Optic: Schlager Night View

This build turns the Carrack .300 into a monster at mid-long range, provided you can hit your shots. The Laser gives us a much faster ADS Speed than normal and allows us to aim quicker after sprinting.

There’s little difference in performance between the 10 and 15 Round Mags, so go with higher capacity. On paper, the 10-Round Mag is slightly better for mobility but not enough to justify losing five shots before a reload.

The Engage-20 Rear Grip enhances the same stats as the Laser, just to a lesser degree. These attachments combined give us an impressive ADS Speed, which we don’t usually get with Sniper Rifles.

The Lex V14 Stock gives us even more ADS Speed. This Attachment makes the rifle kick a little harder, but the speed is worth it, as we will lose fights if we’re forced to hip fire.

Finally, the Optic is a personal preference, but something with a low magnification works with the playstyle we’ve built for. I’m a fan of the Schlager Night View. Using a Night optic during the day may seem counter-intuitive, but it helps with target acquisition, and the housing is unobstructive. The Schlager 3.4x is a worthy alternative if you dislike the Night View.

What’s the best Equipment to go with the Carrack .300?

I’m a big fan of Drill Charges in Warzone 2 and DMZ, but as we’re not storming many buildings with the Carrack .300, Semtex or Frags are more versatile. Smoke Grenades allow us to vanish even if there’s no cover. If you can get into the habit of deploying Smoke the moment you come under fire, you can escape and reengage at will.

You can pull off some nasty close-range kills with the Carrack .300, but you’re still at a disadvantage against SMGs. Because of this, I recommend bringing an SMG or Shotgun to fall back on. If you don’t like using Overkill, the FTAC Siege is a superb choice. Check out our guide on how to build your own.
