Best Boosters in Helldivers 2

Get the most from these powerful items

Boosters offer a great way to help your squad passively. In this guide, I’ll show you the Best Boosters in Helldivers 2 and dispel a few myths about Boosters in general.

What are Boosters in Helldivers 2?

Before we start, let me quickly explain what Boosters are so we’re all on the same page. Boosters can be purchased with Warbonds from the Acquisitions Store. I assumed these Boosters would be limited based on the name, but that’s incorrect. Once you’ve bought a Booster, you can use it as often as you like. You select your Booster before you drop into the mission.

Unfortunately, Boosters don’t stack. Helldivers 2 doesn’t let you bring duplicates, so if your Booster is greyed out, another squadmate already has it. Now you know how they work, here are my top picks.

Feel free to tailor your choices based on your teammates, but these are some of the best regardless of mission objective.

Hellpod Space Optimisation

Hellpod Space Optimisation may be the first available Booster, but it offers a great quality-of-life improvement. Helldivers don’t start missions fully stocked; the only way to fix that is to call down a Resupply beacon the moment you land.

The Booster makes every squad member land with a full inventory of grenades, magazines, and stims. This may not sound like a big deal, but I’ve met countless squadmates who would prefer to run into combat with half-empty pockets.

Increased Reinforcement Budget

The Increased Reinforcement Budget booster may have niche uses if you play in a premade squad or on lower difficulties. If you matchmake, you can be paired with teammates that drop like flies.

The Helldivers 2 community seems great for the most part, but that doesn’t stop your buddies running in front of turrets or under your Strafe Runs. The Increased Reinforcement Budget gives your squad more respawns and takes the sting out of careless mistakes.

Vitality Enhancement

Injuries can be a death sentence on the battlefield and can lead to frustrating deaths when you simply can’t outrun your enemies. While you can still be slowed by environmental effects, the Vitality Enhancement ensures you can’t be injured.

This perk is a tremendous buff as it affects the entire squad. Vitality Enhancement essentially removes an entire threat category from the game. Situations in Helldivers 2 can quickly turn from bad to worse, but this Booster gives you an extra chance to escape those tricky situations.

UAV Recon Booster

The last item to make the shortlist is the UAV Recon Booster, which offers another massive quality-of-life improvement. This Booster extends the radar range of every squad mate, making it a superb choice for teams hunting those bonus objectives.

If you’re scavenging for additional pickups like Warbond Medals, the UAV Recon Booster will make these tasks much more manageable.

I expect we will see more Boosters in Helldivers 2 in future updates, but these are my picks for the best in the introductory lineup. If you want to earn a ton of XP as fast as possible, check out our guide for an easy method suitable for all skill levels and team sizes.
